- Sandy Toes enforces a strict check-in policy. Check-in is at 9:15am at the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal, between the 2 bridges on Paradise Island. DRIVE OVER THE PARADISE ISLAND BRIDGE. Check-in closes at 9:45am. Any guest who has not checked in at the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal by 9:50am on the day of their excursion forfeits their seat and is subject to the tour’s 100% cancellation fee, and will be deemed a “no-show” guest.
- You must make your own way to the departure point the morning of the excursion.
- All cancellations must be received in writing at least 24 hours in advance.
- Photo ID must be shown to match the method of payment used to create the booking, which is to be provided at check in. This may also be documented (photographed).

Great Value with loads of ‘pig time’ - We had a fantastic ‘half day’ tour with Sandy Toes. Arrived a bit early but the team ran to time. Check in was simple with wristbands given and waiver to be signed. All on board for a 30min boat ride to the island where we were met by the pigs. Snorkelling available immediately but a bit further out than I liked so we went straight to the beach which was a 2-3min walk (over rough ish walkways and a good few stairs (mobility should be considered when you book) Bar was well stocked and drinks included in the original price (upgrade available before departure for frozen drinks) we didn’t upgrade and still had plenty to drink. Plenty of chairs on the beach, shade available and some games/ hammocks dotted around. Peahens and peacocks wandering around which you can feed. There were 16 pigs that were brought out in groups of 3-5 around every 30-45mins. There was maybe 50 people on our boat…we were the only people there. It’s a private part of the island meaning we didn’t fight through crowds at any point. Tbe pigs came out multiple times through out the day. The pigs are trained and perform tricks and pose for photos on one outing. The staff are very friendly and all acted in the animals best interest at all times. The next time the pigs came out they went in the sea and you had the opportunity to feed them fruit from sticks. There was plenty of fruit for everyone to have a couple of goes. Another time they were out they were swimming and you could race them. Lunch was served, bbq chicken or beef hotdogs, salad, pasta, rice etc. very nice and again included in original price. Believe you could pay extra to use kayaks and tubes but we didn’t. We left around 3pm and another 30min boat back to paradise island was a lovely end to the day. We felt this was very good value for money and we had quite a lot of ‘pig time’.

Great all around experience - Great Experience! It was not crowded or rushed. From booking, Annie was helpful getting a one off item to drink for us due to dietary restrictions. The Pig trainer, Christina “Tina”, was great working with our daughter to have the pigs do some of their tricks. The snorkeling, the food, the animals, the drinks, the people, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you Sandy Toe’s.

Exceeded expectations - This excursion was the highlight of our trip! I feel like we got so much for what we paid for. After arriving my husband and daughter immediately went on a guided snorkel tour (approx 30 min) while my son and I set up on the other side of the island on the beach. The pigs came out pretty much right away and the pigs were rotated out every 30 min or so for 10-15 min petting and photos. You could even race a pig in the water! The pigs, goats, chickens, peacocks were all so well cared for. My kids enjoyed feeding all of the birds. The staff were all so incredible nice and accommodating. The lunch was so fresh and delicious as well as unlimited drink offerings of all sorts.
You could easily take a break from the beach and play games like corn hole or lay in one of the several hammocks in the wooded area (SO beautiful). The beach was so clean and the water so blue. We would definitely book this again!

Family Fun at Rose Island - This experience was one of our FAVORITE things on our Bahamas trip. I honestly could have skipped this but was so glad we didn't. The kids (11 year olds) loved all of the interactions with the pigs and had a great day. If you are looking for an easy day excursion this is your tour. It is great for couples, families and friend trips.

Awesome! - This was a great trip! The pigs, beach and food were great! Highly recommend this. The snorkeling was only ok. The water was a little rough that day and wouldn’t recommend for younger kids. You have life vests but still a bit challenging.

Great trip! Highly recommend - Great trip! Make sure to be well rested and hydrated because it’s hot and about 7 hrs in total. Swimming with the friendly pigs was a unique experience but something I’d recommend at least once.

Fun Day! - According to my adult children, it was a very fun day and great experience. Beautiful beach. I would not recommend this excursion to those with mobility issues. We ran into a medical emergency prior to our island departure and the tour operator, Annie, from Sandy Toes was quick to assist us with a possibility of a refund. Kudos to her and the rest of the staff and locals who were very helpful during our medical crisis. My elderly mother and I unfortunately were not able to make the trip but the feedback I got was wonderful.

Rose Island Adventure - We did a lot of research on a pig excursion that wasn’t as far from Nassau as the Exumas and we picked the right one! It was an easy pickup from the Atlantis. Just right next to the Margaritaville restaurant. The boat ride was only about 20-30 minutes on gorgeous waters and the crew point out some of the celebrity owned mansions along the way. We snorkeled (optional) right when we got there and got to see a turtle. Our guide found some starfish and sea cucumbers and let us all hold them and take pictures. Then we got drinks (complimentary unless you get premium stuff) and headed to the beach. The water is insanely beautiful and they bring the pigs out every half hour so that everyone gets a chance to swim with them and get photos. The pigs are very well trained and seem happy and well taken care of by the trainers. We were told they are mostly rescues from slaughterhouses in the U.S.
Lunch was one of the better meals we had on our trip. Delicious grilled chicken, hot dogs, pasta salad, regular salad, and beans and rice. Then we went back to the beach for more pig time and lounging in hammocks. There are also peacocks and chickens and we even got to go back to the stalls and visit some baby goats and pigs. I’m not sure that’s always an option but our group was much smaller than normal because the weather was supposed to be bad that day but cleared up. It was one of the best vacation excursions I’ve ever done. Love the island, love the staff, didn’t want to leave!

Nice day with trained pigs - The tour was very well run and organized. We saw beautiful things while snorkeling and safety was a BIG priority. The afternoon was lovely and staff was great! But if you think you’re exploring an island inhabited by pigs who swim, you’re not. These cute pigs are kept in their pen and brought out every 30 minutes to perform for us tourists. It’s all very choreographed with one staff member in the water holding food and another on the beach with food so all of us tourists can get our photo op. I am sure the pigs are very well cared for and we were told the facility is a sanctuary with a few of the pigs rescued from Florida but I felt badly knowing the pigs were brought to the island and trained for my amusement. That’s just me. Same reason I would never swim with (trapped) dolphins or want to disrupt the natural habitat of any living creature.
