Setting Sail for Adventure

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that can bring families closer together while creating unforgettable memories. Next, we cruised to Allen’s Cay to meet the Bahamian Rock Iguanas. These adorable creatures were surprisingly gentle, and the kids loved feeding them lettuce. It was a wonderful opportunity to teach them about respecting wildlife and the importance of conservation. The iguanas were a hit, and we captured some fantastic photos to remember the experience.

Pig Beach and Beyond

The main attraction, of course, was Big Major Cay, home to the famous swimming pigs. The kids were thrilled to see these playful piggies in action, and we all had a blast taking selfies and splashing around with them. The pigs were as charming as we’d hoped, and it was a joy to see the kids’ faces light up with delight.

After our piggy adventure, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the local stout came highly recommended. It was a perfect way to recharge before heading to our final stop—a stunning sandbar where we could relax and soak in the beauty of the Exuma Cays. The crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand were the perfect backdrop for some family bonding time.
