- All ATV ad Dune Buggy drivers should be at least 18 years old and carry proof of a valid driver’s license
- All motorized participants should weigh no more than 250lbs. Minimum age and height for dune passengers: 8 years old and 4 feet 7 inches tall.
- All zipline participants should weigh no more than 265lbs. Minimum age and height for zipline: 6 years old and 4 feet 4 inches tall.
- Non-swimmers are not allowed to enter the water
- The ride to the location is bumpy and as such this tour is not recommended for pregnant women or persons with back and/or neck injuries
- The sequence of the activities is determined by the flow of daily operations, and as such is not based on the guests’ preference
- Helmets are mandatory for all tours and as such hairstyles should be worn to accommodate the use of this safety equipment.

Like the Amazing Race - My wife and I love the Amazing Race and this is one of those experiences that felt right out of the TV show. We began with our guide, Jesus, a nice young man meeting us at the Cruise port and getting us in the back of a truck for an hour long ride to the outpost. The ride took us through Puerto Plata and Jesus gave us a great telling of current and historic elements of DR. Then, we got off the paved road. It was a bumpy, 12-15 km ride through beautiful land, seeing some amazing parts of this beautiful island. We were tossed all over the place but Jesus kept us laughing. When we arrived, we got to do the zip lines first. The crew, who had great nicknames, were great. I only actually remember Oliver, but I know there was a scrappy doo as well. They were great at showing us what to do. They took our whole group up and we zipped over trees and twice over the cove. One of the coolest things I've done. Then, Mario took us on an ATV tour where we splashed in the mud and had a grand time getting dirty. We finished with a lunch. I had grilled fish and red beans. So tasty. Spent a short moment in their cove and got back on for our bumpy ride back. But my guy, Jesus, kept us entertained by singing backstreet boys. Such a great experience.

Do this! - Angel was a fantastic tour guide on our transport to Chukka. Such a beautiful drive.
The ATV felt a bit short, but it was so much fun. Love the opportunity of a photo shoot with an oceanic background.
Zip lining was seamless and such an experience. I almost wish it was longer.
We had time to hang out on the beach and very much enjoyed our time.

Zip-lining was awesome! - This was an excellent experience! I had never zip lined before and the staff made me feel very comfortable with safety explanations and overview of activity. Shout out to our guide Oliver(aka macaroni) and another man whose nickname is chocolatea. I was not comfortable with the ATV, but they helped me and it ended up being fun. The beach there is beautiful. If I had to make one recommendation it would be to allow more time for the beach. We had a 45 minute break between the two activities and that was not enough time. There was a short time afterwards but we ate the lunch that was provided. The ride to the activities is very bumpy, be prepared. I can’t wait to zip-line again!

The best excursion in Puerto Plata :) ! - Me and my mom got picked up at our resort for this excursion a ride there and back and it was awesome, got to see the town and people on our way to the Chukka Outpost. Gelen, Elias , Choco, Anderson , Oliver, Darwyn y las chicas Gracias!!! 🫶🏼 had a great time with my mom on the zip line & ATV’s this was our first time and they made the expierence super fun, cool and everything was super safe. In the end of all the fun, we had sodas and food provided and some fun time at the private beach they have there and everything was really top tier. Beer or any other alcoholic beverage is extra $, but the bundle with food and soda included is absolutely worth it In my opinion. My next DR trip I will defiantly make sure to come back! I can’t wait for the night time Zip line that they told me about that will be coming soon and everyone was super friendly, please do not second guess checking them out if your in Puerto plata! 🫶🏼🥳😎🌴

Unique experience despite lack of staff professionalism - The Ocean Zipline Adventure at Coconut Cove Beach was a great experience overall. I initially thought it would be just one zipline, but there were actually four and the nicest one goes right over the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking and definitely the highlight of the activity. The setup also felt very safe and the views as well as swimming in the beach was amazing.
Our group also did the dune buggy experience which was a lot of fun and a great way to end our time in Chukka Ocean Outpost at Coconut Cove. One small thing that could be improved though is the helmets. Because of the heat, some of them had a strong smell which made them a bit unpleasant to wear. I’m not sure if they need to be washed more often or if there simply weren’t enough clean ones available, but it might be something to keep in mind for future guests.
One other suggestion would be for the zipline staff to be mindful about talking about guests in another language especially when assuming no one understands. My group of nine people actually knew one of the languages being spoken about us right in front of us which made for a bit of an awkward moment lol..
That said, it didn’t ruin the experience. One of the instructors, Oliver, seemed a bit grumpy and kind of in his own world compared to the rest of the staff, but it wasn’t anything serious enough to take away from the overall experience.

Highly recommended... - Highly recommended experience. It is best to book the first possible tour and travel with your own off-road vehicle. So after the great zipline adventure and the ATV tour as well as lunch you still have until about 16:00 to enjoy the beautiful beach in peace.
All guides are particularly positive: great, easy and very fun, which makes the tours even more entertaining.
A small minus: The alcoholic drinks at the beach bar are significantly overpriced. The same goes for the photos taken during the tours and which you can buy afterwards – these are too expensive in my opinion. You better make your own.
Overall, however, a great experience with a lot of variety and beautiful location.
