Join us for an extraordinary 9-day trek through the picturesque green Caucasus Mountains along Azerbaijan’s northern border. Experience the unique culture, locations, and ancient traditions of our beautiful country while staying in local guest houses along the journey.
Over the course of these days, we will hike approximately 46 kilometers, guiding you along a rocky path to the land of the Qriz people, one of the many ethnic groups in the Quba district, with historical ties to Caucasian Albania. Quba is home to 28 distinct ethnic groups residing in secluded villages in this remote area.
From Quba, our path will take us to the isolated villages of Jek, Elik, Bostankesh, Khinaliq, Qalakhudat, and Qriz. The Qriz villages maintain a sense of seclusion and a traditional agricultural lifestyle. The distinctive way of life of its inhabitants makes Khinalig, one of Azerbaijan’s renowned mountain villages, often likened to an open-air museum.
