A tour to Sheki and other attractions of Azerbaijan - Very interesting excursion although somewhat exhausting as it lasted 14 hours. Our guide Tabriz very kind, fluent in Russian, Turkish and English, and was vey knowledgable and did his best to give us an overview of the history of the country, shifting from one language to the other. Apart from the duration it was an overall very good eperience.

Great attractions and wide range of sights - The tour covered a lot of amazing sights and the bus was very clean and comfortable. Our tour guide was very knowledgable. Be aware you will need CASH for the bridge as well as the various markets as they don't accept card.

Great tour with Sayeed - The tour today was fantastic! We started off right on time, thanks to the diligent and ever smiling Sayeed, our tour guide. Sayeed helped to navigate the places very comfortably. While he ensured we were all on time, he also did not rush anyone and made sure no one was left behind. We visited the Jummah mosque, the Hanging Bridge, Nohur Lake and last stop was the town of Sheki. I loved every bit of it and would highly recommend. All thanks goes to Sayeed!

Direction of Lenkorani - the southernmost city of Azerbaijan - Lenkoran - the southernmost city of Azerbaijan, I recommend guide Xəzər - perfectly organized the tour, showed where to walk on Lake Khanbulan so as not to cross paths with crowds of tourists, a very unstressed and knowledgeable young man. Tea plantations are boring enough, but the restaurant by the coast, the woods by the lake are noteworthy.

A way of Visiting Sheki from Baku - Sheki is a nice spot to visit while in Azerbaijan, and if like me you want to cross it out of your list this might be an option, but be aware, its a long ride! On the way to Sheki we made a few stops that made the drive more pleasant. Sayeed was our tour guide for the day, he managed to share information in both English and Russian to the guests. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. My con’s on this provider is, as i mentioned the drive is very long and the bus was a little tight which made the drive a little harder, and also the driver was a maniac, he drove way above the speed limit during most of the tour getting at some point to 150 km/h

Loved Sheki but arduous getting there - After another company cancelled we booked this at 10pm the night before & agreed stops & pricing. All well done at short notice. About 14 people, Half Russian half English tour & a guide for each. Our guide aziz was lovely and friendly. While I enjoyed the day it was all very drawn out, we booked a Sheki tour because we wanted to see Sheki, yet only had 1h40 there. We didn’t arrive until 3:50 then left at 5:30. It was an 8am start then we stopped at market for toilet/ drinks, stopped again at Juma mosque, again at a bridge across a river (optional 2 minat) - not very interesting. Then a lunch stop at the lake which was decent food. Then AGAIN stopped at a terrible waterfall costing 5 minat so we stayed on the bus - 2:45 at this point and we’re still not at Sheki. I understand the drive is long so stop at a place or 2 to stretch, toilet, drink but some of these places were completely out of the way and not at all on the way. We LOVED Sheki so it’s worth visiting but not enough time there. Only saw the palace & karavansaray. Got a bit of information at each place but not much. Could definitely be improved with less stops and more information at each stop and as we were driving to make it interesting. Make sure to pack your pillow as it’s a long day (back to Baku at 10:30ish) and bumpy ride as many roads are being repaired. Pack snacks too.

12 hours in hot van with exhaust leak, bad driver. - Executive Summary: First, the young tour guides did their best, were knowledgeable, and quite pleasant. The driver and van were not good. The sights/experiences were not worth the investment in time and discomfort. The late notification and ten minutes to get picked up at 0720, I will accept because I signed up for hotel pick-up/drop-off one day prior. The tour officially starts at 0800 and off we started a little after that to pick up people at other hotels. Baku traffic is as bad as it gets and the sixteen passenger van eventually filled up and me and another solo traveler were displaced to the dreaded rear of the van, where you benefit from both maximum cabin temperature and frequent suspension catapulting. There was no air conditioning and significant road construction. The driver was erratic, stabbing at the brakes with a dozen car lengths separation at times, barely making it around a truck before trading mirrors with oncoming traffic at others. No regard was apparent for off camber curves, high center of gravity, smoothness, and especially passenger comfort. It is roughly a five hour drive from Sheki to Baku, and it really was no surprise that this van/driver combo produced an incursion of exhaust fumes that were literally visible in the dim night lighting of passenger section. As we found in engine leaks on airliners, these fumes tend to rise, and those that are standing or sitting higher are most affected. We pulled over, but there was really nothing to do but drive with windows partially open to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. We eventually made it back into Baku at 2348, at which point the driver refused to drop me off at the Sheraton because it was in a different direction than the other family that had also signed up for pickup/drop-off. I walked 25 minutes to the hotel. There will be an opportunity to get lunch, but most restaurants will be closed when you get back. I met some interesting people and do not regret the experience, but I think time could be better spent than on this van. 15 hour duration with approximately 3 hours of viewing nothing really globally unique.
