An Incredible Balabac Experience - I did the 4-day Balabac tour with a friend and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to the Philippines. The islands are absolutely stunning — crystal clear water, white sand beaches and untouched nature everywhere. What made this experience even more special was the amazing team. Everyone was so kind, caring and welcoming, and they really made us feel comfortable and taken care of throughout the whole trip. I’m honestly so happy we decided to do this tour and will always remember these beautiful days. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience paradise!

See you again! - Amazing experience! Me and my friends enjoyed every minute of it. We loved to stay in a tent and riding the boat everyday. Our guide Renz is the most friendly person in Palawan and an excellent cook (especially for vegetarian food). We even got to see illuminacend plankton!

Great place to visit but tour not well organized. - The experience ocerall is nice and Balabac is an amazing place. However the camp where we were accomodated is quite bad, the food also is very, very basic and not diverse. I've been to other exoeditions (El Nido-Coron) where both accomodation and food were much better. We also had the worst tour guide that I've ever seen. He was not even a guide, not giving us any information about how long we are staying at certain place etc. Once we came to a beach full of sand flies. He knew that but didnt mention anything to us. Later, I found out from another group that thier guide told them to put the repellent on before coming to that beach. As a result, I had more than 50 bites of sand flies.

Beautiful and wild Balabac on an ‘ok’ tour - Balabac are really beautiful but the quality of the experience is mostly dependent on weather: good weather good experience, bad weather bad experience, and this is kind of unpredictable. I was expecting to see more places and spend more time on beach, snorkeling and so, as most of the time is actually spent on moving between places in local boats. The tour is really 2.5 days (with really a lot of time spent on local boat to move between islands) as all the rest is traveling between Puerto Princesa and Balabac starting point; I think the tour is a bit overpriced for what you get; hygiene was ok considering the ‘situation’ but could be improved; make sure you get a hut and not a tend. The tour guide, crew and the local people are good and work well. As an overall I had a good time mostly due to the unspoiled and wild beauty of the place.

Beautiful experience!! - It was a great adventure. We visited some incredibly beautiful places especially Onuk Island! The guides are very friendly and always available. They are kind and attentive! Many thanks to them for their work. I would give one downside to the organization from time to time and especially on the first day when it was very long for boarding. But other than that I recommend them 1000%!!!! The place where you sleep is very quiet. The food is good overall, I just didn’t enjoy the savoury breakfasts (but that’s just my opinion and my personal tastes..)

Balabac tour - We did the 4-day, 3-night Balabac tour with very high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was quite mixed. We had carefully chosen our original dates after checking the weather forecast in advance. However, the tour operator informed us that the minimum number of participants had not been reached for those dates and moved our booking. Since we were already in the Philippines with internal flights and a fixed itinerary, we had little choice but to accept the new dates if we wanted to do the tour. We clearly expressed our concerns to the tour coordinator. Out of three full days, two were absolutely beautiful: stunning locations, crystal-clear water, and breathtaking nature. Unfortunately, on the last day it rained heavily all day — exactly as I had anticipated based on the forecast. This is why I had repeatedly asked about the weather conditions and, most importantly, clearly stated that it was essential for me to return on the 26th because I had an international flight on the 27th. I have written messages where I explicitly mentioned this. Despite that, the coordinator later told my friend that I had never said anything about it. I find this lack of communication and accountability extremely unprofessional. Another negative point concerns the transfer. The driver contacted us and said he would pick us up at 2:30 AM. I asked several times to confirm the time, and he reassured me it was correct. In the end, he arrived after 3:00 AM, leaving us waiting for over 30 minutes in the middle of the night. Not the best way to start the tour. That said, I want to be fair: the local guides, the boat crew, and the staff at the village where we stayed were absolutely exceptional. They were kind, helpful, professional, and always smiling. They truly made a difference and did their best to make the experience enjoyable. In summary: Balabac is incredibly beautiful and definitely worth visiting. However, the organization and communication from the tour coordinator were very disappointing. Zero points for management and coordination, but top marks for the on-site staff.

“Beautiful Destination, Poor Management" - The expedition did not live up to our expectations. Our guide, Mac Mac, was completely unqualified; he didn’t act like a professional guide at all. Throughout the trip, he didn't provide any information or context about the places we visited. Although we had received an itinerary via email, it was never followed or clarified. The first duty of a guide is to brief the group on the daily schedule, timings, and activities, but this never happened. Punctuality was also a major issue. He was consistently 20–30 minutes late, wasting our precious time on the islands. Furthermore, he failed to advise us on what to bring or how to prepare for each day. To top it off, he didn't even say goodbye to the group at the end of the tour. Regarding the food, while lunch and dinner were acceptable, breakfast was disappointing. I understand we were on a remote island and I wasn't expecting luxury—I actually enjoyed the camp stay as it was the kind of rugged experience I was looking for. However, the management needs to seriously review their standards to make the tour worth the price and enjoyable for guests. I wasn't the only one dissatisfied; everyone in the group was complaining. As a professional tour guide in Europe, I know what hospitality and group management should look like, and this was far below acceptable standards."
