Great cooking experience! - Great cooking class which started with a market visit and ended with a flaming wok. Our chef was very informative and we cooked a beautiful feast of Balinese food for lunch. Great value for money

A highlight of our trip - Nia Balinese Cooking class - This was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali! Chef Made was fantastic: clear, funny, patient and engaging. The ingredient prep was well organised and clean. At the end, we had a feast and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We met great new friends and would definitely recommend!

Great local experience, would recommend! - Besides the amazing food they teach you how to select, prepare, cook and then eat, the instructor was fantastic and the company was even better. Would recommend this class as a great way to engrain yourself in the culture and enjoy eating delicious food you get to make yourself.

My partner and thoroughly... - My partner and thoroughly enjoyed our time here; we made our own way to the Warung and once arrived were given a water bottle each and escorted to the market where we were given an in depth tour of the local food and lifestyle by a personal tour guide. We were escorted back to the Warung where we were taught amongst a group of 8 by Jimmy Reeves. He was very educational and light hearted, held a great atmosphere and was very kind. It was so fun being able to interact with new people from around the world (Jasmine and Jessie from Hong Kong). Trying to cook a new cuisine like Indonesian was awesome. The food was delicious and the staff at Warung Nia were all lovely. Thank you so much for such an amazing experience, I will be recommending this cooking class to all of my loved ones who travel to Bali!

Fab food, fun + great teaching. - I’m a solo traveller (63) and joined one of the groups doing this Balinese cookery course in Seminyak (they pick up) this morning and it was fabulous. Great teaching, great company and divine food.
It was lovely to meet other people and it was a good laugh too
Really recommend.

Memory making moment that we will never forget. - This whole experience was such a memory making moment. Myself, my husband and 12 year old daughter, had the best time. We were looked after so well and learned so much. We loved the start at the local market place. Then the fun we had as a group (created by our instructor) was just brilliant. And the food! Outstanding! So much! We couldn’t finish all the food we made! A moment we will never forget. Thank you (and thank you for the voucher for % off meals at the Warung. We loved our Ribs, Mie Goreng and Sate the following night. BEST sate I’ve have ever eaten and I’ve tried many as I have been visiting Bali for 35 years).

Great class, very organised but very hot! - There were two groups of 16-20 people which was larger than we were expecting. Our chef took us to the local market (driven to and from in taxis) which was interesting, although we were two large groups in the middle of a busy market so we were in the way and it was difficult to hear at times. He introduced us to and passed around some of the ingredients we would be using. We headed back and were split into tables of 4-5. All of the ingredients were pre-prepared and the clean up was very speedy. However, the class was about 3 hours and outside with a cover which, on your feet and cooking, got very hot. They had lots of big fans but these had to be turned off when we were cooking on the woks. It was interesting to prepare 10 dishes but we didn't cook most of them, only prepared. There was a recipe book provided with cooking instructions at home. At the end, you sit down and eat the food the class has prepared. There is water provided and taps for hand washing. There was a lot of raw meat and no antibacterial spray used but this is probably a Western hang-up, we just kept going to wash our hands and used our own antibac.

Nia Cooking School Seminyak - Excellent! Met wonderful people from around the world while enjoying over 5 hours of fun! Our class included a tour and full explanation of the local produce market, cooking demonstration, hands on cooking and then eating what we'd cooked and more. Our guide & instructor Jim, was brilliant. My 3rd time here in 12 years. 5/5
