Early sunrise Mt Batur excursion is a 10/10 experience! - Our jeep drivers expertly got us to our tour areas and took amazing photos and videos of our group as we experienced the sunrise on Mt Batur and the black lava area. The private hot spring experience was such a lovely way to relax halfway through our early morning excursion! The jeep ride through the winding mountain roads was exhilarating as we experienced views of vegetable fields and villages. Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing experience! - We had an amazing experience climbing Mount Baur this morning, the whole trip was very well organised and gave us a very memorable experience. We departed our hotel in Ubud at 2:30am and were taken by a great driver called Dewa. An hour later, we arrived at the bottom of Mount Batur and met our fantastic guide Arca. We were given coffee, biscuits and water before we set off and had poles and a head torch. Setting off just before 4am it was pitch black but we felt very safe with our guide Arca. He guided us up the steep and at times difficult terrain, he was friendly and very encouraging. We made it to the top in an hour and arrived by 5am. Watched the sunrise and Arca made us a breakfast of boiled eggs and banana sandwhiches and tea and coffee. Once we watched the sunrise he showed us the top of the mountain with hot springs and monkeys. We took lots of photos and it was beautiful views. It took us an hour to get down and then we were taken back to our hotel via the coffee plantation. Couldn’t recommend our amazing guide Arca more. He was great. We are moderately fit and found the hike very achievable but we felt a great sense of achievement at the end! Thank you!

Extraordinary trekking to Mt Batur with exceptional guide Jata! - The trip was well organized but what made is exceptional was my guide Jata. I didn’t realize that the trekking will be so hard when I booked the trip. Jata helped me through the whole trip and encouraged me to go further. The views were spectacular! When we reached the top he made me hot chocolate and banana sandwich. Jata also took great photos for me. It was exceptional experience which I will remember for a long time!

Mount Batur sunrise, what an experience! - This morning we arrived at 3am to start our hike up Mount Batur to watch the sunrise. We met our friendly leaders Wayan and Setiti at base camp. We were offered tea/coffee, biscuits and waters before proceeding to receive our head torches and walking sticks. It was pitch dark at 3:30am when we began our trek. The terrain was tough but our guides were very well experienced. Once reaching the top after a few stops along the way, we were ushered to our seats. Blankets and refreshments are available for purchase at the top so don’t forget your money. Also if you don’t feel you can make it down you can hire a motorbike to take you back to base. It is very cold at the top so do wear layers. Wayan and Setiti were very accommodating taking videos and photos. The sunrise is breathtaking along with the views. I highly recommend this for anyone considering.
