During this journey, participants will not only explore the spirituality embedded in the daily lives of the Balinese but also deeply engage in this faith through a blessing and purification ceremony known as Melukat in Bali. This experience includes a rare introduction to Hinduism and Brahmin culture, typically not offered to foreigners, providing valuable insights into Balinese traditions.
The Balinese priest, referred to as Mangku, has specially prepared the ceremony with rice, flowers of various colors for each segment, fragrant incense sticks, and holy water. These elements are meticulously arranged for the purposes of purification and blessing.
The ceremony aims to rejuvenate both body and mind, creating room for new experiences. The impact on nature, local residents, and their lifestyle is minimal, allowing participants to engage deeply with them and contribute to the preservation of genuine village structures.
