Note: The Bow Valley Parkway is closed to vehicles in June and September. For 2023, Parks Canada will reopen the Bow Valley Parkway to vehicle traffic during May, July, August, and October. Traffic is limited to 60km/hr. Bike traffic will continue on the wide road shoulders.

Fun experience for the family! - What a fun time for our family of four with two teenage boys! Nicolas, our guide, was so knowledgeable and we had a blast. Beautiful bike ride with plenty of stops for photos and then the hike was great as well.

Enjoy an easy e-bike ride and beautiful scenery with White Mountain Adventures - My son and I booked the e-bike and Johnston Canyon hiking trip. We had a terrific time. Our Interprestive Guide, Jake, was oustanding. He gave us a thorough briefing on the e-bikes and how to operate them safely. It is "like riding a bike" and even though I had not ridden in many years, I found it easy to operate and the motor assist made the 16-mile ride to the canyon a breeze. Jake was terrific on the ride, stopping to point out wildlife (including a big-horn sheep licking the minerals off the asphalt in the middle of the road and a black bear sigthing across a mountain meadow) and making frequent stops for photo opportunities. He was even more informative on our hike to the waterfalls in Johnston Canyon. Although this site is crowded due to its easy access, it was beautiful and worth the trip. We got exceptional value for the tour cost and White Mountain Adventures has earned my highest recommendation for equipment, safety, informative guiding, and scenic experience. Book a tour and you will never forget it!

Fun e-bike ride and hike!!! - My husband and I had a great hike to lowerfallls of Johnston canyon and e-bike ride with Evyn. She gave good instructions on how to use the bike, and it was very easy to learn. Great stops and pace was great.

A great tour! - A beautiful bike ride. The canyon was nice but a bit crowded. The e-bike was so easy to use. I had never tried one and am not sure I can go back to a regular bike now. :)

We had a wonderful time.... - We had a wonderful time. I was a little scared of the E-bike but as soon as you start it was easy to pick up. Daniel and Sean were a big help.

6/11/2025 afternoon bike tour - Sam was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable and made the excursion so memorable. We saw a bear on the bike ride, which was awesome. The hike to Johnston Canyon was breathtaking. Would highly recommend this trip!!!

Easy rider - We lucked out on the weather that made this easy bike, walk and pause for views even more enjoyable. The guys were great, this particular trip is done with ease on the riding and s little trek through the forest. Good fun and worth having a go. 🙂

Yes -- I reccomend. - Great ride. Saw big horn sheep, elk and a bear! Guides were awesome. The canyon was a great experience. Our family of 5 (me, wife and 3 adult children) enjoyed it.

Great tour! - Fantastic tour, the bikes were very comfortable and easy to ride. Saw lots of wildlife, highly recommend to do this tour when parkway is closed to traffic. Our guide Scott was great. Would be even better if there was an option to ride both ways as it was we rode one direction then shuttle back. Small group of 6 which was great.

Good views and easy - The biking portion was fun. The hiking portion to the lower falls was pretty but very commercialized. It was not a hike but more like a stroll. The company seemed a little disorganized and our guide was not very enthusiastic.
