Was the 4AM Wake-Up Worth It? Sunrise at Moraine Lake & Lake Louise - We joined an early morning small-group tour and had the pleasure of spending the morning with Ozzy, our driver and guide. Since it’s a sunrise tour, it is an early start — as in being picked up at 4am! But we were warmly welcomed into the van, and soon we were on our way to Moraine Lake. After hearing so many horror stories about people arriving before sunrise only to find the car parks already full — and shuttle buses showing up after hundreds of visitors were already on-site — booking a sunrise tour felt like the obvious choice for us. We arrived at Moraine Lake about 30 minutes before sunrise, where Ozzy made tea and coffee for our small group right from the van, complete with maple biscuits (which were delicious!). He also handed out small backpacks equipped with a seat and a blanket to keep us comfortable. From there, we started the 10-minute walk up to the Rockpile. It’s an easy hike overall, though the path can be uneven in places, so wearing decent footwear is a must. Sitting on a rock, wrapped in a blanket with a hot coffee in hand, waiting for the first light to hit the mountains was truly magical. We didn’t have the place entirely to ourselves — it is the most photographed lake in Canada, after all — but that’s just part of the experience. Everyone is there to witness the same beauty. The sunrise was incredible. It was cloudy and misty on the way up, but as the sun crept over the horizon, the mist lifted and the peaks lit up in soft golden light. We’d highly, highly recommend Jumper Tours. After wrapping up at Moraine Lake, we continued on to Lake Louise. Truthfully, it felt a little underwhelming in comparison — Moraine Lake really is the star of the show — but it was still nice to see!

Went Oct 10 so the pickup... - Went Oct 10 so the pickup was at a great time for the sunrise. This was one of the last weekends to see lake moraine. The view was epic, perfect sunrise tour. The company was great at communication and our guide was excellent.

Stunning Sunrise - Worth every penny - Ken was an amazing guide during our Sunrise trip to Lake Moraine and Lake Louise! He was very kind, and informative. My husband and I found that we had plenty of time to see the sites and do some exploring. We highly recommend this tour and guide.

Just book it. - Would highly recommend this trip. Worth the early morning wake up call. Although the sun had not reached the mountains at Moraine lake by the time we had to walk back down we got some beautiful pictures and views. We got the most beautiful pics of lake Louise at sunrise.

Lakes plus moose sighting! - This tour was amazing. Ray was fantastic and the experience was unforgettable. While we were driving between lakes, Ray was explaining the local wildlife to the group. Just then, a moose ran across the road right in front of us! Such a fantastic experience, highly recommend!

Amazing experience - Ray was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and helpful for our tour. We had 10 people in our tour which was nice and intimate. He gave us a warm blanket, seating pad, and hot coffee for the sunrise portion which was way worth the early wake up time. Upon leaving the lake we saw a moose jump in front of our van, which was amazing. Ray navigated that very well. We arrived lake Louise before it got too busy and left around 11 am to go back to our hotels. Such a great experience and i highly recommend booking this!

An unforgettable sunrise tour! - The sunrise tour was amazing! It was very well organized, with incredible views. Everything was punctual, and our wonderful host, Ken, gave us blankets and seat pads to keep us comfortable. Before heading to Lake Louise, we enjoyed coffee and cookies, they also offered tea and hot chocolate for kids or those who don’t drink coffee. At Lake Louise, there was enough time to hike to Fairview Point or simply walk around the lake. Anyway, you can’t access Moraine Lake by car, and it’s usually impossible to book a shuttle on the Parks Canada website, so joining this tour is definitely the easiest way to see it. I just want to say that I highly recommend this tour, it actually saves you both time and money on parking, as well as the unnecessary headache of finding a spot. Plus, if you’re traveling solo, it’s a great opportunity to meet people and socialize. I usually don’t leave reviews, but this one was well deserved. Big thanks to our driver Ken, his sense of humor made sure I never felt alone! :)

Spectacular sunrise - Loved the experience but a little too much time in both locations. The sunrise was spectacular and Ozzy helped us to choose where best to see the sunrise. Lake Louise was an outstanding view but spoilt by a massive hotel and way too many tourists. Great tour company and driver.
