- Bang Pa-In Palace - The tour begins with a visit to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, an ancient palace constructed during the Ayutthaya period by King Prasat Thong. Initially used by the royal court as a summer retreat in the 17th century, the palace was destroyed with the fall of the Ayutthaya Kingdom and later restored by King Rama IV in the mid-19th century. Most existing structures date back to King Rama V’s reign, who frequently spent summers there. The architecture showcases a variety of styles, set within a large park featuring ponds and waterways. Admission is included.
- Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon - Explore Wat Yai Chai Mangkon, the tallest pagoda in Ayutthaya. Believed to be constructed in the early Ayutthaya Era, its original name was Wat Pa Kaeo. The temple underwent significant renovation during King Naresuan the Great’s reign. After Ayutthaya’s fall, it was abandoned and later restored in 1957, becoming a functional temple with resident monks. Since then, it has been consistently developed.
- Wat Mahathat - Visit Wat Mahathat in Ayutthaya to witness the unique beauty of a Buddha head entwined with tree roots, a sight that has captivated both locals and tourists. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (lunch cost not included in the tour fee) before continuing to the remaining temples on the tour.
- Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - Wat Phra Si Sanphet, a significant temple within the Royal Palace, housed Phra Si Sanphet Dayan, whose gold was burned when the city was destroyed in 1767. This temple is a vital historical site and has long been a spiritual center for Thais. Located within the royal palace grounds, it serves as the royal monastery, where no monks reside, but it was used for royal ceremonies, such as the oath of allegiance. It is considered equivalent to Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai and a model for Wat Phra Sri Ratana Sasadaram (the royal temple of the Emerald Buddha) or Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok.
- Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam) - Wat Lokayasutharam is believed to have been built in the middle of the Ayutthaya period and features the largest reclining Buddha statue in Ayutthaya. The open-air site of the large reclining Buddha, constructed from brick and covered with plaster, measures approximately 29 meters in length. Nearby, the ruins of large hexagonal pillars are thought to be the remains of the Ubosot.
