Great tour!! - This was perfect for us. Seeing the countryside and the stops were great for us. Don't expect a tour through the countryside the drivers speak little English. The hand off through the border was good. There are several people to guide you from one side to the other. They take your picture so each of them recognize you back and forth. There are signs also. We got our Cambodian visa ahead of time. Do not worry, the hotel was very very nice and the food was very good there. We waited to eat until we got to the Hotel. We had a couple hours before we went on the afternoon tour at the Lake. The tour guide was very informative and perfect for us for both tours and went at the speed we like (quick). The next day they picked us up at the early time we wanted 7. Would have picked us up earlier or later. Angkor Wat was an amazing tour and was even better than we read it was. We did this tour before we boarded a cruise ship. We waited to eat a late lunch on the cruise ship. The cruise company offered a pre extension 3 day tour which included Angkor Wat. The charge would have been $2999 each. After speaking with those who chose that option we saw much more in Bangkok and Siam Reap/Angor Wat than they did with our private tours. We spent about $1800 total for both of us from when we landed in Bangkok to arrival at our ship.

Pal Saruon and Sarun Mot are the best! - Angkor Wat is an incredible place to visit. The beautiful temples are a sight to behold. Consider yourself very lucky if you manage to end up with Pal Saruon and Sarun Mot as your tour guide and transport while on this trip. These guys met me promptly and were very punctual and knowledgeable about all things related to the temple site. I highly recommend you travel and view this site with these guys, they are the best!

The incredible town of Angkor Wat and surrounding area - I have seen many temples and floating villages/markets but I must say that this was by far the most scenic and interesting of them all. Our guide, Mr. Bunrong, was attentive to us and ensured that all our questions were answered. His knowledge and history of the people of Angkor Wat and how they lived and the years of transformation between the Hindu and Buddhist temple were credulous. His stories made the temple and people come to life. He took the time to point out other things that aren’t necessarily apparent to the average tourist making the trip that much more special. The information he shared about the floating village allowed us to see up close and personal the local villagers fishing using the nets; we immersed ourselves in their culture. As an outsider looking in, we don’t always get the opportunities that Mr. Bunrong, shared with us.
I would love to do this trip again but next time make it 3-4 days as I know there was so much more Mr. Bunrong would have showed us. We can’t thank him and our driver enough for ensuring that we got everything we could possibly see in the short amount of time we were here. Mr. Bunrong didn’t just finish his job when we said goodbye, he also wanted to make sure that once we reached our hotel, to let him know. Our safety was always first and foremost with him.
The crossing at the border was a bit different. Our driver dropped us off and we had another young man take us to the Thailand Border Crossing point to get our exit stamp. While in there, another gentleman came in and said he would take us to the Cambodia immigration border checkpoint. We got our stamp, walked out the door where our fellow was there. He told us to go to the first floor. We had to have our visas plus we had to fill out another little form that went with our visa paperwork and passport. Make sure to print two copies of the visa…one for entering and one when you leave. Also keep the little form that you fill out as you will turn that back in on your exit. Once through customs, another person was there that took us to our car. The same thing happens when you leave Cambodia. However, we had to walk (about 200 meters) to where they had dropped us off on the Thailand side as our person wasn’t exactly waiting for us. That was a little nerve racking only because it was getting dark and we did not know who we were looking for. But once we found each other, the ride home was smooth sailing.
I would definitely recommend taking this tour again and if you can afford the time, take the extra days to visit as it would be well worth it. That is my only regret ….not having extra days to explore this interesting country.

Best way to visit Angkor Wat. - This is traveling with no stress and allowing you to totally enjoy the experience. This is an absolute must do! Picked up from the hotel and the rest was all done for us! Amazing drivers and the tour guide was so knowledgeable and fantastic! There is no better way to visit Angkor Wat and other places included in the tour at a better cost or travel plan. I would do this trip again and again! The four star hotel with free delicious breakfast was unbelievable and had everything walkable or you can take a tuk tuk very easily and cheaply. Great shopping and food. Could not recommend this trip more!

A great experience - Everything was very well organized, especially the border crossing and driver change between Thailand and Cambodia was very well accompanied. Also a super four star hotel in Siam Reap and a very good guide. The sunrise in Ankor Wat (albeit with a small surcharge) was especially nice. What a great experience!

Family trip with infant - Everything was on time. We got clear instructions. The team contacted us via WhatsApp. We got the plate number and a photo of the car that was waiting for us at our Bangkok hotel entrance. The drivers took a photo from us when they picked us up and sent it to the agency. We read all reviews beforehand, so we bought Cambodian e-visa before our arrival and printed 2 copies as it was recommended. E-arrival form though only works for the 3 main airports' entry (as of March 2025). So we had to fill that in at the border. But it was pretty quick. At the border a Viator colleague was waiting for us, accompanied us to passport control and then picked up us again on the other side of the border. Then same person, same process on the way back. None of the drivers spoke English, but they understood basic things, such as toilet break... And they provided cold bottled water for us. We travelled with an infant (19 months old), but they had no baby seat option. That was not the best, but we managed it. On the way back we went to Pattaya directly as it was our next step in the itinerary. So pick-up, drop-off can differ.
The official English guide was nice and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot from him about khmer history, culture, Angkor itself, the floating village, etc.
While the drive itself was long, it was not longer than taking a plane overall, but was more convenient. No security check, you can bring whatever you want and being able to see the countryside of Cambodia and Thailand is itself an experience.

Bunrong provided a memorable experience to Angkor Watt! - Bunrong was an incredible guide. He shared so many wonderful stories about the rich history of Cambodia during our 1:1 tour. He and the team (drivers in both Cambodia and Thailand) took great care to make sure I had a wonderful trip!
I not only learned a lot about Siem Reap but also Bun’s family and the real struggles of the people of Cambodia. If you are considering a trip to visit Angkor Watt, I strongly recommend this tour and especially Bun as your private guide!

Great experience - Great experience!
Everything was arranged.
The tour is a bit pricey but it is an exclusive tour.
Me and my friend were picked-up from hotel in a private SUV car, until we reached Poi Pet border.
Then by foot we were transferred to both borders.
On the Cambodian side we were picked-up by another private car.
All stay in Cambodia was covered with that private SUV car and driver.
Except from the guy who was around at the border and the guide in Cambodia, the rest of them don't know much english, so we had some hours when we didn't know precisely what was next, a more detailed itinerary for the tour would have been useful.
In the tour description there is a misleading mention of the sunrise at Angkor Wat, but in the details it is not mentioned anymore.
Reality: it is a day tour, not a sunrise one.
The hotel was great, all prices are in dollars there.

Amazing Cambodia experience with Vithyea in Siem Reap and Angkor Wat - My wife and I traveled to Thailand in September of 2024. We purchased our 2-day excursion through Tripadvisor. We were picked up by a driver from our hotel in Bangkok at 6 am, and we drove for 5 or 6 hours until we got to the Thai-Cambodia border. Here, it was a bit tricky since our driver did not speak English, but we were warned that another team would guide us to the border crossing customs, and this is what happened. My wife and I paid around $30 to have our visas issued, and we went through 2 control points (exiting Thailand and then entering Cambodia). Please be warned that you would need to carry your own language and travel light. After entering Cambodia, the receiving team met us, and we were directed to the van of our driver/guide, Vithyea. It was already nearly 1 pm, and we stopped at the local restaurant after an hour's drive for lunch. We loved the local dishes! Then, we continued our drive towards Siem Riep. After another hour or 90 minutes, we arrived at a big body of water - Tonlé Sap. We really enjoyed our boat tour on that lake in the dusk hours, observing the floating village and visiting a floating observation desk/tourist information station/alligator farm. We checked into our hotel and walked into Siem Reap at night to have dinner at one of the restaurants. The atmosphere in the town was very festive. The walk to the restaurant area and back to our hotel along the canals was very interesting and romantic - many couples were sitting near the canal, and many families were meeting, having dinners, and enjoying the evening. We agreed with Vithyea to pick us up at 5 am the next morning, and he was promptly there. We drove to Angkor Wat and were there by 6 am to meet the sunrise. Vitheya was very informative and gave us plenty of information on history, culture, religion, traditions, architecture, and future hopes for Cambodia and its people. He guided us through Angkor Wat, showcased interesting features, and told us where the best views would be. It was an incredible experience to see the temple from its highest tower (a steep climb). We returned to our hotel by 9 am to have a shower, get breakfast, and check out. Then Vitheya brought us to two other breathtaking temples - Ta Prohm Temple where "Tomb Raider" with Angelina Jolie was filmed - a temple covered with moss and trees growing between the stones of the walls and pavements and then we visited Bayon Temple with many faces of Brahma (or Bodhisattva) on the tops of the temple structures. By 4 pm (after lunch in a local restaurant), Vitheya delivered us to the border crossing and then another driver (after a long wait - it was the only hickup of the whole trip) drove us back to Bangkok. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Vitheya.
