Itinerary Overview:

• 9:30 AM: Visit the Summer Palace and explore the ruins of Ayutthaya.
• The Bang Pa-In Summer Palace is situated along the Chao Phraya River, approximately 60 km north of Bangkok. Renowned for its stunning gardens and landscapes, it was built by King Prasat Thong in 1632.

Ayutthaya Highlights:

• Wat Pra Sri Sanphet: Formerly the king’s palace and state temple, it once housed a golden Buddha. In 1767, after 417 years of rule, the city was overtaken by a Burmese invasion, and the Buddha was melted into nuggets and taken to Burma.
• Wat Yai Chaimongkol: Features a 67-meter-high pagoda, the tallest in Ayutthaya, built to celebrate Ayutthaya’s regained independence after Prince Naresuan’s army defeated the Burmese.
• Wat Mahathat: Known for having the largest pagoda foundation in Ayutthaya, it once contained Buddha relics now preserved in Bangkok. A notable feature is the Buddha head entwined in a Bodhi tree.
• Enjoy a Tuk Tuk ride around Ayutthaya for a panoramic view of these picturesque ruins.
• Lunch
• 2:30 PM: Return to Bangkok.
• 4:00 PM: Arrive back at the hotel or meeting point.

Bang Pa-In summer palace, Ayutthaya’s ruins and TukTuk tour

Depart from Bangkok and drive to visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which was originally a village and only later converted into a palace. Continue to Autthaya, the ancient Thai capital that has been enlisted as world heritage since 1991. Explore highlight locations such as Wat Pra Sri Sanphet, Wat Yai Chaimongkol and Wat Mahathat and go for a TukTuk ride to get a great view of these scenic ruins. Enjoy a local Thai lunch before travelling back to Bangkok.
