• Otter Cliff - These cliffs rise 100 feet above the coast and are a popular spot for rock climbing over the ocean.
• Otter Point Overlook - Located at the southern tip of the peninsula, this is the other end of the Ocean Path that starts at Sand Beach. The view here is one of the most spectacular along the North Atlantic seaboard.
• Otter Cove Bridge & Causeway - The road curves around Otter Cove, featuring a unique stone bridge. The inlet leads to a creek on the other side, making it a great spot for tidepooling.
• Wild Iris Farm, LLC - A large barn houses stables for strong horses that pull carriages along some of Acadia’s historic carriage roads, a tradition dating back to John D. Rockefeller, Jr., who began building them in 1913.
• Jordan Pond - More like a lake, it covers 187 acres with a famous view of the Bubbles mountains. Jordan Pond House is a historic site known for its hot popover rolls, a beloved tradition at Acadia.
• The Bubbles - Bubble Rock is a massive boulder perched on South Bubble Mountain. The Bubbles Divide Trail is a short, easy-to-moderate hike, about a mile long, with a 608-foot elevation gain, offering some boulder scrambling at the end for those who want to get close to the rock.
• Cadillac Mountain - Rising 1,528 feet above sea level, Cadillac Mountain is the highest point in Acadia and on Mount Desert Island, as well as the highest point along the entire east coast of the United States. • Somesville Historical Museum and Gardens - Known for one of the most photographed bridges in Maine, with a graceful arch reflected in Somes Creek, offering a picturesque view. Nicknamed the Monet Bridge, it also features a small museum showcasing the history of Mount Desert Island.
• Echo Lake Beach - With a sandy beach on its south shore, Echo Lake is a beautiful lake on the western side of Mount Desert Island, just south of Somesville, and part of Acadia. It serves as a lovely swimming spot in summer, with voices echoing off the surrounding granite rocks.
• Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse - Built in 1858 on a stone foundation, this lighthouse stands 56 feet above the high water mark. It’s the most famous lighthouse in Acadia, the only one on Mount Desert Island, and one of the most recognized and photographed in the United States.
• Ship Harbor Nature Trail - An easy 1.3-mile figure-eight loop along the forest floor off Seawall Road near the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, offering stunning coastline views.
