Highly recommended! - To experience whale watching with Whale Tales was a delight and truly special! We are greatly thankful to Katie who made swift arrangements when the weather conditions led to rescheduling. She was so lovely and helpful, the correspondence and information comprehensive and clear, which was very reassuring for us as first time visitors to Australia! We were fortunate to be on this season’s first encounter with a humpback whale, a young and playful male that breached quite a few times! Wow! Special thanks to Rob, Sofia, Isaac and the rest of the amazing crew, who gave us an unforgettable and safe adventure! The spirit and warmth of the crew towards each other and the passengers created a pleasant and wonderful atmosphere!

Amazing experience! - Amazing trip whale-watching with a small family business. You can see how much they care as they are respectful towards the animals and eager to share their knowledge about these incredible creatures. They went above and beyond, even extending the trip to make sure we got to see the whales, which is something I certainly wasn’t expecting. They also sent us a link to download photos from our trip, which was a really thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend them!

Wonderful experience with a great family-run business! - What a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and professional, the boat clean and efficient, and the whale watching was successful and supported by a well-informed scientific narrative - we exen saw two breaches! And having a professional photographer on board yielded us some fantastic whale photos that the crew shared with us later. I couldn’t be any happier with the experience and would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic day out with a great crew! - This is the second time that we have gone with Sea Monkey on Boxing Day for the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, and it was a winner again! As the boat is small there were only around 20 other people which made the whole experience relaxed and personal. After a relaxing swim in the harbour and lunch, the crew were able to get the boat right up close to the starting line which added to the excitement. I would highly recommend this company for its fun and professional attitude to providing a great customer experience.

Must do this ! - Wharf area easy to locate. Prompt departure under the Bridge and past Opera House. Smallish group (about 16) so enough room to move around. We saw nothing until the last 20 minutes when whales appeared. We moved closer for better view and they were quite close to the boat. Waterproof clothes definitely needed as the spray (when side-curtains were open so we could see) will get you. Also try to use a toilet before you board - there is a toilet but in a rough swell its easy to be thrown about. If we hadnt seen anything they wouldve given a later free trip as compensation. Crew v sociable and knowlegeable with lots of interesting info given. Well worth it !

It was a great tour, very... - It was a great tour, very friendly crew. Alex knows about whales a lot and pictures he shared with us are just awesome. Size of ship is perfect - not too small to be unstable not too big to be crawded. Ability to move on ship was very appriciated. Thanks for unforgettable experience.

Boat load of fun with the whales - Watched almost a dozen whales big and small out in the open ocean once we were out of the Sydney harbor as well as a few dolphins whizzing past. The commentary was excellent. Make the trip between April and Nov after which the whales migrate to Antarctica and you might not be so lucky as we were in October

A unique experience - Very nice and competent information about whales from the crew. A smaller boat for about 30 people allowed an up close experience with a total of 5 humpback whales. As a special service, a professional photographer was on board. The photos were shared free of charge in the evening by link. So you could concentrate fully on whale watching.

Experience of a lifetime! - We had an amazing experience today watching the whales. We saw so many, and we even saw 2 breach beside our boat. We loved that there was a professional photographer onboard with us, and also a marine biologist who did a beautiful job of telling us so many wonderful facts about the whales as we waited. The boat captain and his wife were delightful as well.It was a perfect Sydney experience for two Texans! Thank you so much! We loved it!

Not the Best - Only saw one floating whale. A glimmer of a little whale. A double decker would help see such fellows. Recommend a double decker.
