Barbados History of rum island tour - The tour was exactly as described in the booking. Charles Marshall as our main tour guide was a lot of fun while providing us with interesting information about the island as well as delivering us punctually to each of our attractions. It was a full day that included tours by appointed guides at each destination, a quick lunch and several rum tastings. Great tour! FYI. XO rum at Mount Gay not to be missed😊

History, entertainment, views and rum - a great experience - Well organised and nicely put together tour. Great service from informative and entertaining (& safe) driver Ryan - also didn’t rush us or leave us hanging around. St Nicholas Abbey house fascinating, great train ride and views, and then amazing to see a working distillery so close up with original machinery, and talk to the owners. Very well paired with Mount Gay, for the contrast of a very different operation, with a hugely entertaining guide for the tastings. Good lunch, nice stop at Bathsheba, and interesting to see different aspects of the island on the way. Very glad we didn’t hire a car or try to do it with taxis.

Fantastic Rum and Interesting Historical Learning Experience - My sister and I had a great time throughout the entire rum tour! At the St. Abbey rum tour, our guide Virginia was very friendly, funny, and informative. My curiosity was set ablaze when she talked about the history of the house and the sugar cane plantation. She showed us around the property and how the sugar cane was processed. Very interesting to witness! We also got to try sugar cane for the first time and it was tasty too!! We tried two of their rums, and it was impressive taste for both of them. Virginia also let us try one of their Sorrel liqueurs... it was soooo good, as well as St Abbey's rums. We didn't hesitate in buying our favorites there lol! At the Mount Gay Rum Tour part, it was another interesting experience learning about the enslaved people and how Sir John Gay Alleyne was apart of the abolition of slavery. Our tour guide (I wish I could a remember his name but he wore glasses and had a super cool Pokemon sleeve tattoo), and he was funny, clever, and enlightening! We tried four of their Mount Gay rums, and they were all really good -but be careful with their Silver line, that bad boy is a doozy-. Along the way to both of the tours, we were driven by a really cool tour driver/guide, and he told us all about the landmarks we passed, some of the regular everyday life in Barbados, how Bajans have many Centenarians, and we even got to see Rihanna's childhood home. My sister and I would highly recommend this rum tour experience, and hopefully you'd be guided with the fantastic people we got to have as well.

Winston the guide was superb - Winston the guide was superb as were the guides at st Nicholas abbey and mount gay.only thing I'd say is this goes to the mount gay visitor centre in Bridgetown NOT the actual mount gay distillery in the north of the island!! I either didn't notice or realise the difference when I booked it. Was still good though!

Amazing Tour! History of Rum and Barbados plus Beautiful Bathsheba Beach - I would have given this tour a 5 star review , however our tour guide Ryan was not a pleasant person, he seems burned out and does not enjoy tourist, either Americans or woman! Don't know which!! He was very knowledgeable and did lighten up a little after a few unfriendly words were exchanged!! He was condescending and arrogant at times! He was also in a rush with little time to shop or experience beautiful Bathsheba Beach. And it seemed like he changed up the itinerary to meet his needs and not ours. I definitely recommend this tour but with a difference tour guide!!

Three stars - First, 10 am means 8:15am, Driver was fantastic but ride is rough due to poor road conditions. Skip move at St. Nicholas abbey or you will not have time to sample runs and purchase. Mt.Gay tour is not as good as St. Nicholas Abbey but the tasting is better. Overall good trip but too expensive.
