A Delicious and Culturally Rich Experience with Ida! - Ida was amazing! We had a blast trying local foods with her—everything from traditional bites to more adventurous cultural dishes we wouldn’t have found on our own. She also took the time to show us some incredible historic sites along the way. Ida even stayed late to recommend (and walk us to!) a few great local restaurants to check out the next day. We went on a tapas tour through Barcelona with her, and let me tell you—it wasn’t a food tour, it was a full-blown culinary adventure with sass, charm, and a side of pork aged longer than most of my friendships. First stop: fried sardines and vermouth at a very local spot. My wife—whose idea of exotic is dipping fries in ranch—eyed the sardines like they might leap off the plate. Meanwhile, my daughter and I went full local and devoured them like Mediterranean seagulls. Absolutely delicious. Salty, crispy, perfect with that vermouth (which, for the record, I now consider a personality trait). Next, Ida whisked us into a buzzing hole-in-the-wall charcuterie heaven, where we sipped champagne that cost €8 but tasted like €150 Moët. I’m still trying to figure out how to smuggle a case back in my luggage. We munched on pork bites that had been aging longer than my daughter’s college search and talked meat like sommeliers talk wine. The final stop? Comfort tapas. Spanish soul food. The kind of meal that makes you want to hug someone—even a stranger—just because life is good. Every bite was pure joy. And if that wasn’t enough, Ida offered to take my daughter out later that night to show her the local party scene—because apparently, her generosity doesn’t stop at food. The best thing we did in Barcelona! - This was the best thing we did in Barcelona! We booked same day and although we were the only two participants, Ida didn’t cancel. The tour was extremely informative and each tapas bar/restaurant she took us to was different and absolutely amazing! On the way to each stop, Ida explained the history of the path we were walking and took us into very interesting locations. We even got to see a renowned artist at work! She was kind, offered to take photos and made sure we were good along the entire tour. After, Ida sent us more recommendations of places to visit during our trip. Do not miss out on this experience!
