Great art and wonderful views - The museum includes a variety of art--Romanasque, medieval, modern, etc. The galleries are arranged beautifully and descriptions in English are included for most art.

great place to visit for art lovers - Great place to visit for art lovers. need to set aside at least two hours. Space outside for cozy and peaceful walks away from the hustle and bustle of the city. there are escalators. it's just a shame that the fountain is turned off after hours.

Art on the Top - We have been there the 1st Sunday of the month which allows a free entrance to the museum and roof. The roof terrace offers fantastic views over Barcelona. There is a lot of art to admire from old masters to modern times. You may choose what you like, spend a whole day or just relax a little in the big hall with a coffee.

Excellent Museum. Worth a visit - Excellent museum . Well laid out by type although could do with a little more explanatory signage in other than Spanish and Catalan. Over 65s have free entry so be sure to have proof of age if you do not look it. The building itself is beautiful and offers great views of the city. A little short on good Catalan artists such as Miro and Tapies which disappointed.

Get your steps in. - A lovely place to visit and take some amazing pictures. The entire fee is between €2 to €12, the €2 is definitely worth it for the views.

Something of a hike, but worth it. - A very good museum, with some fascinating and lesser known art by famous painters. Didn't realize the complex has six museums all together, so it would be great for a day long excursion. Wonderful views of the city and some local musicians playing outside. The only issue was how much uphill walking there was, which probably should be featured clearly in the description. Otherwise we would have given it five stars!

A good stop on your visit to Barcelona - Large museum with some really interesting pieces. The temporary exhibit on war propaganda was excellent. I found the the Romantic period section (which was mainly art for church walls and ceilings) a little repetitive but otherwise an excellent place to visit.

Not as expected - Too much religious exhibits. Would’ve liked more paintings/sulpturrs from famous Spanish artists. Grounds were scenic beautiful though.

A review - The artwork available was interesting to see. The temporary exhibit with World War 2 satire was interesting. The location looks big from the outside, but there is not a lot to see once you're inside. The staff can also be somewhat rude. If you go on one of the free days, it is worth a visit, but don't go with high expectations.
