- Drivers must present a valid driver’s license and be 21 years of age
- The driver must leave a deposit of 300€ per GoCar, either by Credit Card or Cash
- Drivers who are not from the European Union must have a valid, non-expired international driver’s license or request an official translation of their license directly at the shop ( own expense 20€). The translation takes 1 hour and is possible from Monday to Friday (until 3pm on Friday) Not official holidays.
- Minimum age to be a passenger is 7 years
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Wheelchair accessible, please advise at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required. (We can provide a GoCar that is operated by hand only)

Unique experience - What a cool experience. One of a kind and original idea. We managed to see the whole of Barcelona in like 3 hours. It was great to see different areas and take in the Spanish atmosphere without constantly having to walk around.
One thing that was slightly frustrating was the lack of parking option so we couldn’t always stop and get a drink or explore and had to keep going which was a shame.

Great time - Ignore Diane with the 6 useless points!!! If you are a functioning adult none of these issues are valid
The staff was great and the cars drove well and the narrated route was easy to follow. Greg way to see the city without being stuck on a bus. Try it all 5 of us enjoyed it very much

Great Staff. Car easy to operate - We had such a great experience with GoCar! The staff were incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived—they made everything easy, answered all our questions, and got us set up quickly without any hassle.
The driving experience itself was much easier than I expected. The car was simple to operate, and the directions and guidance made navigating the city feel smooth and stress-free, even for first-timers.
What really stood out was how much my daughter enjoyed it. She said it was the best part of our entire trip, which says a lot! It turned out to be such a fun and memorable way to explore, and I’m really glad we chose it.

good fun - Me and my partner had booked the 3 hour experience and thoroughly enjoyed it!! we were instructed how to drive the car and a few brief rules of the road. i would advise taking photos of the car your driving incase there is any unnoticed damage which would effect the return of your deposit. When we returned we received the €300 deposit back immediately and were very pleased. The only downside is the other drivers on the road hate the go cars, so your constantly being beeped at, cut up and shouted at.

A great way to see Barcelona - Great staff and a great experience overall the gps guide was a great story teller and quite funny at times. A bit expensive but make sure you go on a sunny day

Go Cars for the win - Excellent way to spend the day. Miriam was so kind and professional, she set us up, got us on our way, and made sure we had all information necessary to keep it stress free. Loved seeing all the sites, one small area was not marked construction so we had to back up and go the wrong way down a one way (3 other local vehicles were in the same boat) All in all I highly recommend this excursion.

Throughly enjoyed this.... - Throughly enjoyed this. Could be a a little bit difficult if you went off the route however this was a minor issue. Car easy to drive. Would highly recommend. Great fun

Novel idea that didn’t quite live up to expectations - A unique experience and a novel idea but there is definitely things you need to be aware of and some room for some improvement.
1) Toilet facilities - ours was a 3 hour tour but no toilet facilities at the GoCar depot for clients before leaving or returning. We were told to go to one of the nearby bars/cafes and buy a coffee/drink and we could then use their toilets.
2) The guidance system gave you very little warning to change lanes (remember you are driving on the usual roads of a city of close to 2 million people) or turn corners at some points. At other times there was a good amount of warning.
3) We were told that some of our mapped route may not be possible due to the La Merce festival currently on and subsequent road closures and we would have to navigate around that ourselves!!
The reason given for not changing the programmed route in the cars was that they had only found out about the road closures on the 27th Sept, therefore no time to re-program the routes on the cars, yet the GoCars website itself noted that there would be traffic disruptions from 22-28th September??
3) A lot of traffic and stoppage time at red lights throughout the city meant that we couldn’t complete the tour in our allotted 3 hours (and this is without any stops to view points of interest on the tour) - ? an option to make the tour slightly shorter or allow more time in the weekends
4) The cars do take a bit of time to get used to wrt how they drive and the lag time between engaging the throttle and the car beginning to move (this is explained at the briefing)
5) If you do ‘stray’ of course then the map gives no indication of how to ‘get back on course’ (this is also explained at the briefing) but in reality a second person in the car (navigator) is essential.
6) You might not see as much as you would like (especially for those of us who usually drive on the LHS of the road) as you are constantly having to ‘watch where you are going’, watch the traffic and pedestrians
rather than being able to look at the city’s wonderful sights.
