3 Day Travel Card. - Hola Barcelona Travel (3 day) was the best decision. The mixed reviews almost scared me off, but we have toured Barcelona on the subways and buses with ease. Public transportation in Barcelona is well designed and easy to navigate with the help of google maps. This is a must if you’re going to spend any time here.

Must have in Barcelona - We used our Hola card every day during our 4 night stay in this hilly city. Picking it up from the airport meant we used it on the Metro to get to our hotel. Day 1, we were very glad to be able to use it to get a bus up to Parc Guell. After a walk back into the city centre, we picked up the Metro 'home' again. Day 2, we used it to get to and from la Sagrada. The Metro was quieter than the basilica! Day 3, we were pleasantly surprised that the card included the funicular to Montjuic (you do need a separate ticket for the cable car). The Metro is easy to use with clear maps and indications as to the next stop. Likewise, the bus stops and buses were plentiful, clean, and clearly marked. Yes - you need to keep your bag zipped up and on your front but I would recommend that in any city. Well worth the cost.

No freedom without a ticket - Your freedom in Barcelona to see everything individually. Back to the airport, too. Transport system partly better than Germany. 3-day price very fair. No more snakes. Better than Hop On Hopp Off.

Cartão Hola Barcelona - We bought two "Hola Barcelona" cards in a kiosk in front of the Corte Inglés de la Plaza de Catalunya, after coming from El Prat Airport. The service by the staff at the kiosk was very good and enlightening. If we knew, we would have bought these cards at the airport, on the automatic machines, instead of buying the metro tickets at Terminal 1, to go to the city center, because we didn't know that the transfer fee to and from the airport was already included in the "Hola Barcelona". Anyway, it was a great option, the card always worked well. We bought the 5-day one, but we'd like to have bought it for 7 days, if any. Five days is the maximum. Certainly in the future they will have for seven days. They should also accept this card to use the Tibidabo funicular, but they do not accept it. We were in the city from 11 to 18 May/2025.

Hola Barcelona travel cards - The Hola Barcelona travel card was a major waste of money in Barcelona, which I had optimistically paid for in advance, online, before we arrived. Perhaps I was too naïve to believe their online assurances that this travel card would be an easy way to take advantage of Barcelona’s Metro system. Step one in my uneducated assumption was that these “ticket machines” would be plentiful, well-marked, and easy to find at each subway entrance. Unfortunately, the opposite was true. It would help tremendously if the website itself had indicated where any of these mysterious machines are actually located. It does not. Instead, you are left to guess where they might possibly be. My first experience was to find a Metro entrance, walk down several flights of stairs expecting to come across one of these ticket machines, only to see no indication of their existence, and, the realization that I was now expected to walk quite a distance to reach several more flights going back upstairs without knowing if any of this effort was taking me to a ticket machine. We soon realized that your best option in Barcelona is simply to take a taxi to wherever you need to go.

Scammers! - Be wary! It's such a scam card. My first purchase was ticket verification, which you must withdraw to receive a physical card. But of course, my verification was conveniently removed from the APP! The only proof I had was a withdrawal from the bank. Customer Service was absolutely the worst experience you could think of. Nobody knew an ounce of English, and no company wanted to help or take any accountability. 42 $ down the drain. Worst part, I had to buy another one that worked, so 84 $ for 5 days.

BAD EXPERIENCE - BAD. The day I bought the tickets online I insisted 3 times because the transaction SEEMED not to have been successful ... until the third attempt I succeeded! Bottom line 3 credit card charges for a total of 180€ I'm trying to get a refund but it doesn't bode well!! TO AVOID ONLINE PURCHASE

Don’t purchase hola Barcelona - I would not recommend hola Barcelona. Purchased the card and then couldn’t even use it. Now I’ve called the support line 4 times and all they keep telling me is to wait. I don’t think I’m ever getting that money back, it’s been a month and they are not kind, helpful or responsive.

Bad service; voucher codes do not work. - We bought a 5 day pass online and received a code by email to redeem at the airport TMB machine. The machine did not recognise the code. We had to buy extra tickets. Also other machines in the city refused the code. Staff could not help us. Next day the code was recognised but a refund for the extra tickets was refused. So, do not buy these day passes online! Better is directly from the machine without a voucher code!

DON’T!! - I would not trust Hola Barcelona at all. I ordered some cable car tickets online and the money was taken twice from my account. After numerous phone calls, several emails and now three months later – nothing. Awful customer service.
