Travelling around Barcelona - Useful card to get around. Easy to pick up at metro station. Would recommend to anyone travelling around although you will need to be quite fit to use it to best advantage

Very useful - Easy to collect it from the tourist office at the airport and worked seamlessly with all forms of transportation.

Hola card - Well worth the money we used it mostly on the metro but cN be used on buses and even the funicular Feel like it would be easier if this was a qr. ode or similar rather than a physical card as was worried we would lose them but other than that really pleased We picked ours up from the tourist info booth in terminal 2 and then used it to get train out of airport really handy If you ever get wrong train or go wrong way you just jump back on and don’t have to worry about cost was great for getting about highly recommend!

Not valid for night buses - This card is not valid for the night buses which are active after 10 pm. So you should consider this, because they are not mentioning it clearly in their website or on the card. They are publicly advertising like it is valid for all transport options.

Never buy a ticket on hola Barcelona only dummies - I did not receive a voucher. 3/4h at the airport to find a solution. An incompetent counter gives you a phone number that's useless. You have to go back through the site and make a claim All incompetent

Think hard if you need it - I bought card x 3 days, thinking I had everything included as written on their website... but the train slightly outside Barcelona ( 20 min ) is not included. I read on the Montjuic cable car site, but it doesn't include the zip line. My dissatisfaction or complaint does not concern the service, but what is indicated that is included in the price... which is not explicitly clear (perhaps deliberately).

Just buy a tickets when you arrive and avoid this company. - I booked the combined Hola Barcelona card and Aerobus tickets. The Aerobus ones did not work and the customer service team could not understand the issue. It led to two incredibly frustrating journeys and what should have been hassle free transfers being the low point of our holiday. I would not recommend using this service.

A word of warning. - Off on holiday? A word of warning. If you are thinking of taking a Hays Travel card, that you are being talked into, think again. Like a fool, I believed what the travel agent said, that they have the best exchange rate and no fees! What a joke! Therefore, I placed £200.00 credit on the card, to be spent in (AUD) Australian Dollars. During my trip, I spent less than £8.00. So, when I got home, I thought I would cash the card in and get a refund of £192.00. In actual fact, what I received was £152.38. Yep, that’s right, they had taken £47.62 off the refund. When I questioned it, I was told that there was a £6.00 “cash-in” fee, (which I was expecting). However, what I didn’t expect was that they would charge me £39.62 for the privilege of spending £8.00. What a rip-off company! Never again! Hays, you should be ashamed of yourself. Your card is well and truly marked!

Buy The Hola Card at a Metro Station, not online - We thought that we did the right thing by ordering & paying for the card well in advance. The downside was that by doing it this way, you have to go out of your way and attend a special information shop (our was at Pl de Cataluya) and collect the physical card. We purchased a 4 day card and after 24 hours neither worked. We suspect human error and the lady behind the counter only loaded 1 day not 4. Given that we have booked a lot of things to do, out only option was to buy a 3 day card at the Metro Station. In hindsight, by the card at the metro Station, at least you then know that you will your correct monies worth.
