As you travel from Barcelona to Priorat, admire the striking terraces of vines etched into the hillsides and listen to your guide’s introduction to the area. Known for its premium quality, the area’s rich and full-bodied wines are produced under challenging growing conditions and require labor-intensive harvesting, with most grapes handpicked.
After visiting a small local winery to sample your first three Priorat varietals of the day, proceed to Clos Figueres winery, managed by Christopher Cannan, a trailblazing Priorat winemaker. Discover how the wine is crafted from old vine grapes, without the use of insecticides or other chemicals, and enjoy a traditional 3-course lunch paired with their wines.

our guide Anthony was... - our guide Anthony was great the whole trip!
really appreciate his guidance and the way he took time to explain and answer our questions on the tour, especially since it was the first time visiting a winery ever!
also gave us many useful wine related recommendations and tips. helped us get our belongings back when we forgot them at the previous winery as well

Amazing experience in Priorat! - Wow! What a wonderful experience. Priorat is one of those places that most people wouldn't think of when visiting Barcelona, but we are both so glad that we booked this tour. From start to finish, Samuel was friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable about the history of the region. We were able to visit three incredible wineries and try some truly outstanding wines, as well as a really top notch lunch. We were also lucky enough to have a very friendly group with us, which made the experience even more unforgettable. We are so grateful to have booked this experience, and would absolutely recommend anyone else does the same!

A love letter from Priorat. - Samuel created a magical day! It felt like being given a love letter from the Priorat region. Truly incredible scenery, in depth knowledge of the three wineries, and the chosen tastings were exquisite. The curated lunch was outstanding. Met some sweet fellow travelers as well. Book it now! You won’t be disappointed! Worth every second to create beautiful memories.

Great Wine Tour with an Awesome Guide - There were 4 of us that booked this tour to Priorat not sure what to expect but the region was amazing- exceeded our expectations. The tour offered everything…beginning with walking some vineyards, tasting in the vineyards and an amazing lunch at a vineyard and of course more tastings. The wine is wonderful. Anthony was our guide and by the end of the day he felt like family! He was extremely knowledgeable and more than accommodating. Don’t miss this tour and be sure to request Anthony.

Amazing experience, can't recommend enough! - This tour was amazing! My boyfriend and I ended up being the only ones who had booked for that day, so we were able to enjoy the tour privately. Our tour guide, Samu, made the day an unforgettable experience! He was extremely knowledgeable about the region, the wine, and most importantly an overall pleasure to be around for the entire day. I truly don't think we would've been able to enjoy the day nearly as much if it wasn't for Samu since it was just us two on the tour. The wines were fantastic at all 3 locations, the lunch was delicious, and overall this tour was a 10/10. Would 100% book again and recommend to anyone going to Barcelona / Spain. The drive is a bit on the longer side, but totally worth it for the beautiful vistas.

Priorat wine tour - Was initially hesitant about going to Priorat due to the long ~2 hour ride each way, but so glad we went ahead to join this small-group tour.
Experience was excellent from the get-go. Alfonsina addressed my queries promptly and assisted with my reservation when I faced issues with booking platform. Jose Luis was our guide - he is knowledgeable and friendly, giving useful insights along the way. The other tour attendees were also great companions, so time really flew past!
Visited 3 wineries with great wines. Jose also ensured we were well-fed while we enjoyed the tastings. Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you enjoy red wines!

Memorable and insightful visit to Priorat with Anthony - Anthony was a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide; he drove us through narrow and windy roads, up to the beautiful vineyards of Priorat, where we visited 3 wineries, each with a distinct style, and learned about the broader region, its unique terroir, and tasted a slew of outstanding wines from the producers themselves. A highlight of the trip and a must-do for any wine lover.

Wine tour that turned into friendship! - Our day trip with Anthony was infinitely better than we could have imagined! His selections for our activities, knowledge of the wine region, and jovial demeanor made it for the best way to visit Priorat! Highly recommend this tour to any and all ages if you enjoy wine and are looking to get out of the city. The three stops were equally educational, had their own charm, and of course the wine was delicious! Anthony guided us through the whole day taking the guess work out of visiting a new country and region. He was even so kind to give us recommendations for a day trip later in our vacation and nearby attractions to visit.
During the stop for lunch, he taught us how to make tomato bread which quickly became a favorite to order the rest of our trip. It is a Catalan tradition we are excited to carry on at home and share with friends!
If you are on the fence about using Anthony or Spanish Trails, book your reservation now. It has been the highlight of our girls trip to Barcelona and we attribute it to him!
