Lovely old town in Southern Italy - The old town of Bari is one place you should never miss when you visit the region of Puglia in southern Italy. Its stone covered narrow streets, with arches and gates (and occasional laundry hanging from windows), add a certain beauty to the whole place. Sometimes the local inhabitants also sell their home-made products out on the street. There are old houses, squares, churches, fountains, etc. alongside modern souvenir shops, bars and restaurants. Immediately outside the walled perimeters of the old town you'll find the beach area for public swimming.
