Experiencing Barranquilla - This tour was a wonderful experience. We wanted to see Barranquilla as we were only in the city one day. We got to explore a natural area and taste fresh coconut. Then off to see the river. We learned about the history and the industries in the area before arriving in the downtown area. Sampling foods from different cultures was a great experience. Our last stop was a restaurant and we had a wonderful shrimp cocktail. The guide was easy to understand and the driver was exceptional. This tour is a combination of experiences and not just about food.

Friendly, fun, food, - Orlando was a great guide and took us to a variety of interesting places (Ciénaga de Mallorquin, San Nicolas church, an ostreria, and of course a Fritos shop, to name just a few of the stops) all with great food and interesting stories and facts about each place. Highly recommend.

Barranquilla food experience. - Our food experience was great. Started a little slow but picked up as the tour continued. We experienced many street foods and local foods. We felt like we were channeling Anthony Bourdain by the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

A great way to experience Barranquilla! - What a wonderful way to explore and learn about Barranquilla. It was a great combination of sightseeing, history and a lot of good local food! You will be visiting small kiosks and food stands; it is not fancy. The food is diverse and filling. I tried a local rice dish, shrimp cocktail , cheese , empanadas, frozen ice , fruit and coconut water to name a few of the treats. It was nonstop. I was able to experience the downtown area, the boardwalk and a nature preserve. There was plenty of time for photos. My guide, Andrés, was very punctual and organized. He was passionate about sharing his culture with me! He also took the time to make other recommendations to me regarding restaurants etc. Tips-Bring some extra water , cash, hand sanitizer wipes and a small backpack.

Very good food and wonderful city - Very good tour, the Guide very well by summarizing in a very didactic way the information of the most typical and famous dishes of barranquilla, we also walked very important points and complemented us with a little history. 5 stars for our Guide, super recommended and thanks to the agency for taking our Reservation last minute!!!

So yummy - My guide was attentive and friendly throughout the tour, providing us with information about the most popular foods that locals eat and making the experience fun and enjoyable. If you like to know and try the typical food of the places where you travel, when you are in Barranquilla you should take this tour, you will get to know and taste the most typical dishes of Barranquilla with a local telling you everything you want to know about the dishes.

Excellent experience to add to my vacation in Colombia. - The tour is excellent, allows you to taste a wide variety of local Barranquilla dishes and all are a delight. I highly recommend this gastronomic walk to all those who will be in Barranquilla, they will get a very pleasant surprise with many of the meals that will be found and they will love it.

Go on the tour hungry jejjej - This food tour is very very good! I was warned to go hungry, but I didn’t believe them, so I had breakfast at the Inn, “bad idea”, I recommend going hungry! I had a wonderful Guide, knowledgeable about the city of Barranquilla and its food, the places we visited were excellent. The walk between the stops was paused and on flat ground. I highly recommend this tour. I'm not sure if they have a profit on the tour, because I tasted and ate too many dishes and all very delicious..!

Disappointing tour - The tour guide and driver were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the guide’s English was limited. We had difficulty understanding him and he did not understand many of our questions. Most of the food was delicious. However we felt that there was too much handling and sharing of the food. We suggested that they serve individual portions.

Keep looking: This tour is not worth the price - The tour guide was pleasant. I would not call this a food tour. We had a sampler plate at one restaurant and that was it. Did not taste the different fruits of Colombia, or juices, no pandebono, etc. I have been to different cities of Colombia and like to do the tours to have a guide, see some cool things, and put some pesos in the economy and someone's pocket. This will be my last experience with Gran Colombia Tours. Paid $130 USD for two people and they wanted extra to pickup 20 mins outside the city and let me know the day of the event. Seems more like a way to milk gringoes then anything else.
