The tour kicks off with a departure to the boarding point starting at 8:20 AM, with pickup times differing based on your location. Once aboard a speedboat, the journey will take you along the picturesque Preguiças River for approximately 40 minutes until reaching the village of Vassouras. In the rainy season, the area boasts deep lagoons perfect for swimming, but the highlight here is the lively capuchin monkeys. Following this, the tour proceeds to the village of Mandacaru, where visitors can ascend the Preguiças Lighthouse for a stunning panoramic view of the area. There are also local handicraft shops, delightful caipirinhas, and ice creams featuring typical regional flavors. The final stop is the beach of Caburé, a sandy peninsula flanked by the river on one side and the sea on the other. Lunch will be served at one of the beachside restaurants. Always adhere to the pilot’s instructions—return typically starts around 2:30 PM, with an estimated arrival back at 3:30 PM.
