• Basel - The guide and driver will meet the guests at their hotel or residence, ready to transport them to Mt. Pilatus in a comfortable van.
• Pilatus Luzern - Upon arrival in Lucerne, the driver will accompany the guests to the Pilatus Bahn to start the journey up Mt. Pilatus. A brief stop at Fraukmuntegg will allow guests to appreciate the beginnings of the Swiss Alps and the cantons that established the Swiss Confederation in 1291. Guests will then board the renowned “dragon ride” aerial cable car, enjoying a ride in a spacious glass cabin. The panoramic windows offer 360-degree views of the Lucerne region, often likened to the sensation of flying. As the journey progresses, the ever-changing Alpine scenery and historic Lucerne come into view, making this ride a memorable highlight of any visit to Mt. Pilatus.
• Pilatus Luzern - Following the ride, guests can continue to enjoy the breathtaking valley views from the restaurant or embark on a leisurely hike to the summit of Mt. Pilatus. The peak provides a spectacular bird’s eye view of historic Lucerne and sweeping vistas of the surrounding landscape. From the viewing platform, guests can breathe in the fresh mountain air while taking in the sight of pristine lakes, verdant meadows, and undulating peaks and valleys. Discover the legends of dragons associated with Pilatus and the tales of Pontius Pilate’s body being interred at its base.
• Pilatus Luzern - The descent begins on the world’s steepest cogwheel railway, heading towards Alpnachstad. Guests will take the cogwheel train, where the engine climbs the slopes of Pilatus, leading to the end of the steepest rack railway globally. The guide will share insights into the history, culture, and culinary specialties of each area as guests admire the Alpine views from 2,073 meters above sea level.
• Lake Lucerne - Guests will experience the beauty of Lake Lucerne, also known as the lake of four cantons, while admiring the distant Bürgenstock, Rigi Mountain, and Pilatus Mountain during a cruise on the crystal-clear lake. From May to October, there is an option to take a boat from Lucerne to Alpnachstad instead.
