We had a great time at... - We had a great time at both the Batu Caves and Elephant Sanctuary. One thing to note is that the Elephant Sanctuary is cash only - this includes the cafe so please make sure you bring cash! But it was great to get up close with the monkeys and then the elephants. Our driver was knowledgeable and really wanted to make sure we had a great time.

Batu caves are very... - Batu caves are very touristy and crowded, didn't think it could be seen as a sacred place because of this but was reassured by local people that it very much is. Worth seeing just be prepared for crowds. The elephant sanctuary was magical. Complete contrast in thar there was no one there. The elephants are beautiful and very well looked after. Being able to feed and interact with them was amazing. And being able to get close to them bathing in the river was a real bucket list moment

Absolutely amazing experience! - Batu caves were stunning, and definitely something you should see when visiting KL. For us personally the highlight of the trip was the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, though. Getting up close with elephants, seeing them get bathed and visiting the Baby Elephants was a once in a lifetime experience. Our driver Richard did an excellent job at making us feel safe on the road and keeping us entertained. The 1 1/2 hour drive to Kuala Gandah passed in a blink as we were chatting and learning about Malaysian culture and history. On the drive home we were quite exhausted and had a good rest before arriving back at our hotel. We definitely recommend taking this tour.

Kuala Gandah Elephant sanctuary - The sanctuary itself and the elephants that were there looked after by dedicated staff. It was lovely to see children feeding the elephants. Only bad part was the size of the vehicle dent for my party of six. It was a tight squeeze and not very comfortable

50/50 split for rating - Batu Caves are an amazing man made spot in a natural surrounding. Was an awesome visit. The elephant reserve not so much. Few elephants and only interaction is the ability to feed the baby elephants. Was disappointed here. Also, do NOT go on a Friday as everyone is in prayer and lots of traffic and empty reserve staff.

The sites visited were OK. I wouldn't repeat woth the same tour agency - Three of the 4 stops we made were good experiences (the timing was off foe the samctuary). However, I thought this was a guided tour, but it turned out to be just the same as us hiring a driver for the day (we were left to figure out things on our own in each site).
