Located just north of Kuala Lumpur, this limestone outcrop features three main caves with temples and Hindu shrines. Inside, the deities of the Hindu goddess Maha Mariamman are embellished with gold and precious stones. The area is filled with the sights and sounds of peddlers selling jasmine garlands and aromatic incense.
- Little India Brickfields - Brickfields began as a brick-making center in the late 19th century after a fire and flood in 1881 destroyed Kuala Lumpur’s wooden and thatched structures. Sir Frank Swettenham, the British Resident at the time, ordered the use of brick and tile for new buildings, giving the town its purpose.
