Cairo to Bahariya

Bahariya Oasis Guide - A Sun Pyramids Tours representative will collect you from your Cairo hotel at 6:00 AM. You will then travel from Cairo or Giza in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to Bahariya, a journey of 365 km, taking approximately 4 hours.

The Golden Mummies Hall - Upon arrival in Bahariya, visit the Golden Mummies Museum, which dates back to the Graeco-Roman period.

Tombs of the Nobles - Proceed to explore the Tombs of the Nobles, Ain Mefettella, and the Alexander Temples.

White Desert - Later, take a trip to the ruins on a hill known as “the English House” at sunset and enjoy the panoramic views of the Oasis. Overnight stay in Bahariya.

Bahariya–Gara Cave (also known as Djara Cave)

Gara Cave – Aqabat

Valley of Agabat - After breakfast, visit the Gara Cave (also known as Djara Cave), a natural hollow formed by rain in the Eocene limestone (55 million years ago). Water has dissolved the limestone to create stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Prehistoric people likely inhabited the cave during the late Neolithic period, as evidenced by artifacts and rock art found there. Then, transfer to Aqabat, a drive of about 150 km. Overnight camping in the desert.

Ain Khudra

White Desert - Enjoy the White Desert, renowned as one of the most beautiful places globally. The bright white limestone covers the surface, creating incredible rock formations in the sand, which gives the area its name. Overnight camping.

Bahariya-Cairo

Black Desert - After breakfast, visit Crystal Mountain and the Black Mountains. Upon reaching Bahariya, you will have the opportunity to shower before returning to Cairo, a journey of about 4 hours.

For your information, the hotel has an unused open backyard area with a pool that has been out of service since 2004, following instructions from the Egyptian government. Therefore, it is best not to consider this space as part of the hotel’s features or amenities.
