Dominican Republic culture and local tour! - Very well structured and encompassing of the Higuey and overall Dominican Republic culture. Our 9 hour tour we went horseback riding,, drove through the countryside amongst the hills and mountains. Through the city and visiting the church La Basilica. Drove through small towns and Eddy explained the local culture and Luciano drove very well and safely for our group. Thank you to them both for sharing their home country!

Amazing Cultural Experience - My friend and I had the countryside safari tour, with Eddy as our tour guide and Cesar as our driver. It was such a wonderful experience learning about the rural culture of the Dominican Republic and its sociocultural norms. I really enjoyed seeing how cocoa and coffee were produced in the country, and the provided lunch was some of the best (way better than the resort). Both Eddy and Cesar are a dynamic duo who made us all feel so welcome to the country. As they said, we felt like we were familiar.

The highlight of my trip - I went on this excursion on my last day in Punta Cana, and I can say this was probably my favorite day here. I loved learning more about the culture and visiting where the cacao and cigars are made and visiting the wonderful beach. Even the car ride there was so fun and everyone was friendly. I would love to do this again. One of my favorite travel experiences for sure.

Way to go Angel & Cesar 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾!!!! - Angel was the name of our tour guide and Cesar was the driver. Angel provided our group with a lot of information and memorable facts about this lovely country. He was charming and funny, quite the character, and he endured that we were having fun and learning while on the tour. Cesar was a really good driver and safe too considering moves he had to make at the last moment to prevent an accident. Bravo to Angel and Cesar and when I visit next time I hope I'll be fortunate enough to have them as my guide and driver again :) !!!

Different perspective on the trip - I think perspective is important on this trip. It’s a lot of driving (highway, town and secondary roads) in the back of an open truck with no seatbelts with less than typical EU or NA driving (roads and drivers). It can rain, pack a jacket and towel. The towel for the seats if it rains. The time at each destination is minimal except the falls and the cocoa plantation. You are exposed to it but spend just as much time looking at samples for sale. We stopped at a store and bought supplies for impoverished kids. I will actually say this should be removed from the tour as funds through ngo are usually the best option. That said, the tour guide was good. There is no speaker so hearing is not ideal in the truck. From a value for time and money perspective, I cannot say that I would do this again but others seemed to enjoy the trip when leaving the truck. The falls were nice and the lunch at the ranch was good although it was offered very late in the day (take a snack).
