A Very Moving Experience - Amandine Was Fantastic - Amandine was amazing! So knowledgeable about the area, answered all our questions, was a safe driver. She even knew the area where our father/grandfather landed on Utah Beach. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

Excellent experience! - We had an excellent experience with Arthur, a truly top notch guide. We were picked us up at our hotel outside of town in a new very comfortable car. Arthur was very knowledgeable and engaging. He had wealth of interesting details about the battle of Normandy and Allied invasion. And we enjoyed interacting with him. He took us to great spots that weren’t crowded but had incredible views of the beaches. Definitely recommend GoldBeachCompany and Arthur!

They gave us the Normandy D-Day beaches tour that we were hoping for. - We did a 2 day private tour with Gold Beach company. The tour included Utah and Omaha beaches on day 1, as well as the american cemetary, Sainte-Mere-Eglise and Pointe-du-Hoc. The second day included Gold and Juno beaches, Batterie de Longes-sur-Mer, and lunch in Arromanches-les-Bains. The second day also included a Calvados tasting which we requested. Each day included a trip to one of the many museums in the area, and we were able to choose the museums which interested us most. Our guide was Adrien, and he was great!! He was very knowledgeable about the whole area, and was easily able to customize the trip to our preferences. Also, Gold Beach company was very responsive to my questions before the trip. They were very easy to work with. I highly recommend Gold Beach Company, and Adrien.

Alex rocks (and exceeds all expectations)! - Our family's (me and my adult children) tour with Alex was the highlight of our two week trip to England and France. We booked the visit to Normandy to visit the grave of our first cousin (once, twice removed) who is buried there. I let Alex know in advance our cousin's name and expected him to let the cemetery know we were coming. He went above and beyond. He researched our cousin's service record and let us know that he did not actually die while parachuting out of a plane but that his plane, which was carrying munitions as well as paratroopers, was shot down over Magneville, a French village many miles away from its target. He took us to that site where we learned that there is a monument to the men who died in that crash. All the names of the soldiers are listed; it was so moving to see our cousin's name listed and visit this site in (literally) the middle of nowhere where he was first buried. Alex also offered to stop at a German cemetery, as it was on the way to Normandy, and the contrast between that and the American cemetery was stark. Alex has a wealth of knowledge about D-day and the WWII in general that he clearly enjoys sharing. He has a quick wit and we developed a fun rapport with him during our tour. Other family members of mine have hired guides and made the pilgrimage to Normandy to visit our cousin's grave but no other tour guide took the time to do the research and none of my other family members were able to visit the monument in Magneville because we did not know it was there. I highly recommend Alex fora personalized tour. Thank you Alex!

Always on My Bucket List - Our guide Thomas is both a Historian and Archaeologist. Having grown up in the region, he has the perfect background for a tour guide. He enthusiasticly shares his knowledge of the D Day invasion with both a historical perspective as well as with anecdotes he has gathered from returning veterans. His day tour of the American beaches includes all of the key locations. And, if you want to visit a specific site, he will take you there as well.

Amazing Emotional Day! - We had an amazing day! Our tour guide Amandine was so knowledgeable and had so much passion for the history of D-Day. She had many interesting facts. My father landed on the Omaha beaches on the second day of the invasion. She made sure we went to Omaha beach! Very emotional to retrace the steps of my father. We also went to the American Cemetery. Amandine told us exactly where to stand during the end of the day taps ceremony. We had other folks on our tour and it was so fun chatting with them during lunch and throughout the day, great group!
