Walk to Holy island - A safe way to cross the sand/mud to Holy island. Footwear was optional, most of use chose to go barefoot across. Nice small group. Guide was knowledgeable and informative. Stopped a few times with some history, but not too long. Open to further questions if you had some. After crossing and on Holy island, had about an hour and a half of free time before being driven back. NB: the walk is one way and car lift back. You can not walk back due to the tidal times.

Low tide alk across to Lindisfarne Holy Island - Ray met us and we set off on time across the causeway. We felt safe crossing as he has great knowledge of tides, ecology and the land and sea scape. We stopped a few times along the way and he recounted the fascinating history of the amazing saints and kings of old Northumbria. We saw seals and curlews. Definitely best to cross barefoot, a bit squidgy in places, you dont need walking boots on the land, trainers are fine, the paths are cinder or tarmac. We stayed on the island for a couple of hours and Ray picked us up in his car to take us back to the mainland. Brilliant day out

Walk across the sands - Fantastic experience. Ray is very knowledgeable about Lindisfarne and Northumbria. No need to worry about tide times or having to walk back. Great of Ray to provide sunshine too. The perfect way to travel to Lindisfarne.

- Excellent experience, Ray is very knowledgeable and made it a fascinating walk. We did it barefoot and although a lot of shells in parts, was glad we did it that way.

Walk across the Causeway to Holy Island. - This was a beautiful walk across the causeway to Holy Island. Our guide Ray regaled us with the story of the King’s who dominated Northumbria after the fall of Rome to the arrival of the Normans. Ray is a great guide, he kept us entertained and safe as we walked along the pilgrims’ path. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in History. The pace is gentle and the ride back afterwards very welcome.

What a gem of an experience! - This really was a gem of an experience. An excellent historical guide telling the history of Holy Island set in such a beautiful landscape, we loved it. I went barefoot across while my wife wore wellies. We really did feel transported to another place and it was almost a disappointment to rejoin people, cars, and man made noise after over 2 hours walking in a small group with only a seal, birds, a few small crabs, and an amazing 360 degree landscape for company.

A Walk Back in Timw - What a lovely walk across to Holy Island. Barefoot is the way to go! Ray gave us lots of information along the way and short talks about the history and stories about the Christian aspect. He was very pleasant and has a sense of humour. The island was atmospheric and peaceful. It would have been good to have had a little more time to explore but I guess the tides have to be considered It was a great experience

Amazing experience - Amazing experience with a knowledgeable guide (Ray), who not only kept us safe, but filled us in with historical tales of the Kings and Saints of Northumbria. He also pointed out various points of interest in the surrounding landscape. Would totally recommend this - and would suggest bare feet are best for the crossing - but we got a lift back in Ray’s car! Loved it.

Excellent would recommend - Excellent trip to the Holy Island with Ray, who was really interesting and knowledgeable. His delivery of both the history of the island and the natural landscape was entertaining and informative. He couldn’t have been more helpful both pre trip and during the walk. He was keen to make everyone included and at ease. We took our dog Jax who loved the trip on such a glorious sunny day. Thank you - We would throughly recommend
