fantastic birthday morning!!! absolute recommendation, although difficult to find, enough arrival time schedule - Tony and his family gave us a very unique experience, we made beautiful shawls, were allowed to taste local delicacies and were welcomed like friends - and there is also a big turtle living there

Sun Printing & coconut healing! - We had a fabulous time printing sarongs up in the hills of Mahé near Beau Vallon. Hire car or taxi advised. We came for art but we got healing with coconut water too. We unreservedly recommend Roots Seychelles.

Unique crafting experience! - Totally unique experience, with friendly hosts and great product at the end. Really proud of trying something different. Little tricky to find as Google Maps took us the wrong way, but FaceTimed the organisers who worked out where we were and sent someone on foot to show us the right way. Banana fritters cooked by owner’s mother were fabulous and delicious lemonade. Thoroughly enjoyed my morning and would definitely recommend.

Unique experience and grateful to have been there - It was a crazy experience. Beautiful day surrounded by nature and with friends from Norway and the UK. Toni is a beautiful person, very friendly and spiritual. We print at work and immersing ourselves in this completely natural technique has made us fall in love with our work. Everything was perfect. Toni and his magnificent collaborators in advising us and in the end came out of the real masterpieces. Food and drink TOPPPPP. We absolutely recommend it to everyone, to live an out of the ordinary moment that connects you to yourself and makes you explode the fantasy of creating..... The stars for me are 10 beyond excellence.

Unique and amazing experience - A wonderful experience in an amazing location. Being able to collect the flowers and leaves to make your own unique pattern was really interesting. Tony was the font of all, knowledge not just about the art of sun printing, what a great guy! Would highly recommend this unique experience.

Unique and lovely experience - We had a wonderful time thank you! The host and the team were amazing. Super friendly atmosphere, the kids (age 11) had the best of times designing and watching their art coming to life. It was very interesting to learn this unique technique and the host made it so fun! We were greeted with some lovely refreshments and managed to relax throughout this lovely experience. Highly recommend!

Overpriced - I have noticed all other reviews are 5 stars... The actual workshop was good, though an explanation of the process and some tips and tricks beforehand wouldn't have gone amiss and I do think it is extremely overpriced. But during the downtime there were some uncomfortable moments. I was 'baptised' with coconut water and had the jelly smeared on my face and arms, which are now sunburnt (funny that I have managed to avoid it till today). I was told my suncream will give me cancer. Some of Tony's comments made me uncomfortable as a female with no one else there, though I don't think he meant ill men need to think about how their comments can be construed.

116 euros for confusion - my solar pressure fever dream - Honestly, it was like a wild fever dream. I had booked the Sun Pressure Workshop with Tony and tried to contact him via the WhatsApp number provided in advance – but nobody responded for days. When an answer finally came, the communication was so strange and stalled that I already felt uncomfortable. There was no clear address or directions; I had to search the place myself via Google Maps. Important to know: The needle on Google Maps is set wrong – you end up on the wrong side of the hill, in extremely steep roads that you can hardly safely navigate with a rental car. The neighbors there told me that people get lost every day and they wonder why the position is not finally corrected. Without a rental car, getting there is almost impossible anyway. On the day of the workshop it rained heavily. I tried to reach Tony several times – no reaction. Later came a quick call that I messed up, after which his phone was off again. When I finally arrived on site, I was met by an elderly lady who introduced herself as his mother. Tony himself wasn't there. She put a basket in my hand and sent me alone to collect leaves and flowers somewhere in the area – without any explanation of what I should actually do or choose. So I walked around with her dog without a plan and didn't even know exactly what to look for. Back again she explained to me in two sentences that I could put the leaves on a wet cotton cloth and later choose a color. No artistic input, no introduction, no background knowledge – just an improvised occupation. As it continued to rain, I could not take the cloth with me after three hours, but had to wait until it was ready the next day. Since I was not traveling in this area again, it would be agreed that I would be brought the cloth to my accommodation the next day. The granddaughter gets back to me the following day, who promised to bring the shawl over in the early evening. Instead of at 5:30 p.m. as agreed, however, it didn’t arrive until 9 p.m. – after multiple requests on my part. According to the mother, this workshop has been going on for many years, and the old reviews also suggest that you can really learn something from Tony himself. But if he's not there, nothing remains of the original idea. Instead of a creative, inspiring workshop, you get a completely disoriented experience, which in my case was more absurd than educational. The only positive thing was that the basic idea of the sun print itself is beautiful and I finally received the finished cloth. But all this is out of proportion to the price of €116 – a Price quality ratio that can only be described as outrageous.
