Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace
Forbidden City - The Palace Museum - Please note: Tickets to the Forbidden City are often limited. If tickets cannot be secured, the tour will visit Jingshan Park, located south of the Forbidden City, instead. From the top of Jingshan Park, the entire layout and architectural structure of the Forbidden City can still be viewed.
The group tour starts at approximately 7:00 am from a centrally located hotel lobby within Beijing’s 2nd ring road. The tour includes a visit to the Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved 650-year-old imperial palace, followed by a visit to a Chinese medicine center to experience ancient Chinese medical culture.
Temple of Heaven - Next, the tour visits the Temple of Heaven, known as the largest ancient imperial worship complex, where ancient farmers prayed for good harvests, before enjoying a Chinese lunch.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - After lunch, the tour visits a pearl factory, then proceeds to the Summer Palace, renowned as Beijing’s most beautiful imperial garden, before returning to the hotel.
Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tomb
Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling) - The tour departs from a centrally located hotel within Beijing’s 2nd ring road in an air-conditioned bus around 7:00 am. It includes a visit to the Ming Tombs to explore the burial grounds of ancient Ming emperors from the 14th century, followed by a Chinese lunch at a local Jade restaurant, where participants can learn about ancient Jade culture.
The Great Wall at Badaling - The tour then proceeds to the remarkable Badaling section of the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World for the past 2000 years. Participants can enjoy several cups of Chinese tea and experience traditional tea culture at a tea house before returning to the hotel.
Please note: The hotel must be located within Beijing’s 2nd ring road downtown area. If the hotel is outside this area, the group tour guide and bus will not be able to provide pickup service.
