Exceeding all Expectations! - Fantastic experience with Sunflower Tours! From my first contact with Sunflower, the owner, the communication with fantastic. She worked with us to customize our tour to include everything we wanted to see. Once we arrived, our tour guide, Aaron, was incredible. His English is great and his attentiveness to our needs was beyond our expectations. It was truly a pleasure to see him every day for the 3 day tour. He absolutely went above and beyond for us, even helping us buy bullet train tix for our last day and making sure we got on the train to our next destination. We have taken many private tours and this one was the one to beat...the attention to all the details was excellent. I would most definitely recommend this tour and when we return to China will work with Sunflower again for our next adventure!

Sunflower Tours Review - I booked my trips with Sunflower Tours and had the great pleasure to be assigned Aaron as my guide over 4 days during my exciting stay in Beijing. I began my trip with a half-day walking tour around interesting locations on the outskirts of the city centre. Aaron conducted the tour in a very friendly, courteous, and informative manner. I learned a lot about the local culture, key historical events, and specific linguistic aspects of the Chinese language. I then embarked on 3 full days of extremely enjoyable historic tours in and around Beijing. The key highlights were visits to the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the Summer Palace. Aaron was extremely professional, highly organised, personable and knowledgeable. Each day was meticulously managed: Aaron was very efficient in organising transport, the correct amount of time was spent at each location, and entry into each historical site was hassle-free each time. Aaron demonstrated in-depth knowledge of a variety of subject matters and delivered each tour with passion. In addition, Aaron introduced me to authentic Chinese cuisine for lunch each day at traditional restaurants where local people eat. As a result of the 4 days, I was very pleased to learn about Chinese history, current affairs, architecture, culinary delights and the evolution of Chinese culture through the dynasties to the present day.

Fantastic private tour! A must! - Mr Aaron was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly to my kids. He spoke to us in mandarin and English. He was flexible with the schedule as we wanted to focus on something’s and fast track others. We didn’t need a selfie stick since Mr Aaron took all our family photos. He knows all the spots for good Instagram worthy photos. He also knows shortcuts and how to skip long lines. A must! Highly recommended!

Best insight of China - Aaron was the best guide we could have hoped for. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. There were no questions left unanswered and we had loads of them. We got the best crash course regarding the Chinese history in these 3 days and this was by far beyond the places we visited. Thank you Sunflower!!!

Informative and easy tour that was personally tailored for us - We had a great time with Kris, she was super chilled and allowed us to tailor the tour to suit us. The process was smooth and really easy. Would 100% recommend her. It can be tough to explore China without a guide so this tour was great. Kris was super informative and gave us really good insights to both historical and modern day Beijing.

Great 3 day tour of Beijing with Aaron and Sunflower! - Aaron (2 days) and Sunflower (1 day) were our private guides for the 3 day highlights of Beijing. We chose this tour over others mainly because we liked the slightly different itinerary, and we had a wonderful 3 days in Beijing! Aaron is friendly, funny, patient, very knowledgeable and very personable. Sunflower is extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable and is a firecracker powerhouse in navigating queues, and getting tickets to Forbidden City (a lottery) among other things. Aaron and Sunflower added special touches to our days, showing us interesting areas, neighborhoods and sites that were slightly off the beaten path. Both Aaron and Sunflower picked out great spots to eat the first 2 days. (Restaurant choices at the Great Wall were more limited.) Both guides were flexible and totally amenable to slight spontaneous tweaking of the itinerary, such as trying out the subway at my request. Sunflower also arranged my tours in Suzhou. Awesome sites, awesome guides!

The most well deserved 5 stars...my new EXCELLENCE tour-guide standard! - You might wonder if her 5-star rating on all her tours sounds too good to be true or if it's worth it...trust it, Sunflower is THAT good! These have been some of my life's most carefree vacations in a foreign country; she took care of every detail. Do yourself a favor and book the All Inclusive Tour to really get a glimpse of genuine local delicious restaurants picked by her, as well as easing transportation. If you're up for a more detail: She speaks excellent English, and she's always on time. Sunflower is fun, charismatic, open-minded, very cultured, patient, honest, and extremely caring. She has set what will now be the highest standard, in my personal experience, for a guide. She takes great pics, too! We booked almost two months in advance, and she contacted me almost immediately (less than 24 hours) to start managing all bookings and visits. Despite the little contact, she was ready to meet at the agreed place and time of the booking. We moved around in Didi. We were allowed to set the pace, listen, explore, and enjoy coffee/tea or snacks as desired. She's extremely knowledgeable about China, explaining as much as we desired and always giving a prompt answer to inquiries; on the 3 rare occasions that she didn't have an answer, she got back to us the next day with the information. She was never in a hurry to wrap up, move to the next place, or end the day. When mentioning a couple of spots we desired to visit at specific times or later in the evening, she didn't hesitate to take us there herself. She's extremely caring. On one occasion, intending to visit a mall for dinner, not only did she give us all indications and maps to get there, but she took us right to the mall door and then went home. She also cooked some delicious hard-boiled eggs for us to try! She always provided several suggestions for food, leisure, and exploring the city when requested. She never pushed us to try or visit anything we were not open to or interested in. She completely changed my misconceptions about China, showing us a more relaxed lifestyle and attitude than I expected. She likes to help people, share her culture, learn about others, and give cooking lessons online! She's very high-spirited :) Finally, we didn't have a single additional expense while being with her other than the gratuity for our assigned driver on the Great Wall visit (he drove us around for 4 hours, and this was optional) and her own gratuity, which was totally deserved. She even helped us set up a driver to the airport on our last day in Beijing. I'm probably forgetting more things. I can say, however, that there was nothing to improve that I can recall and that I can't wait to visit some other parts of China with her!

Best Decision Ever - When we were evaluating whether we should get a tour guide for a trip to China, we came across this tour. All the reviews seemed to be so good that we even wondered whether it was too good to be true. It wasn't and having Sunflower as our guide was the best decision we could ever made. She was very knowledgeable, very agreeable, very diligent, had an excellent English, was always on time and was always willing to accommodate our requests. If I go back to China and need a tour guide, I would choose Sunflower again without a doubt. She is basically the best tour guide you could ever expect.
