Beijing - Today, your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your Beijing hotel at 8:00 am. You will then be taken to Tiananmen Square.

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - At Tiananmen Square, you can capture stunning photos of the Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People’s Heroes, and Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. Located in the heart of Beijing City, Tiananmen Square has been the site of numerous historical events and gatherings over the centuries. Today, it hosts grand celebrations, military parades, and welcoming ceremonies for foreign dignitaries. Visitors can admire the towering Monument to the People’s Heroes and the solemn Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. The traditional Tiananmen Tower, Zhengyang Gate, and Qianmen Arrow Tower are also located here.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Next, you will cross the Tiananmen Tower to visit the Forbidden City, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911) resided and managed national affairs. As the imperial palace during these dynasties, the Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden complex in the world. The palace is divided into the Inner Court and Outer Court by the Palace of Heavenly Purity, with the Outer Court for state affairs and the Inner Court as the living quarters for the imperial family. The complex also serves as a vast museum, showcasing over one million national treasures.

Mutianyu Great Wall - Upon reaching the parking area of the scenic site, you will take an electric car to the entrance and then a chairlift to the 14th watchtower. Enjoy a leisurely hike on the wall for about 2 hours, concluding with a toboggan ride down. The Great Wall at Mutianyu, built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), is one of the most renowned sections of the Wall. Known for its unique charm, Mutianyu stands out among all the Great Walls. Explore the ancient structure and learn about its history and significance. Your knowledgeable guide will answer any questions and share exclusive stories and facts about the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Beijing - Chongqing by flight. O/N Chongqing.

Beijing - In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to continue your Beijing tour.

Temple of Heaven - Your first stop will be the Temple of Heaven, the largest group of royal ceremonial buildings in China. In the past, emperors held annual sacrificial ceremonies here to worship heaven and pray for a good harvest. Today, it has become a large park where you can see locals engaging in exercises and other recreational activities.

Back Lakes (Hou Hai) - Next, you will visit Beijing Hutong, where you will take a rickshaw ride through the old alleys and visit a Hutong family to experience the lifestyle of old Beijingers. The area is home to many popular restaurants, cafes, and local food stores, offering a great opportunity to sample local cuisine. Your guide will provide recommendations. After lunch, you can stroll around Houhai Lake and explore more of the Hutong area.

Lama Temple (Yonghegong) - After visiting the Hutong, you will be driven to the Lama Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Beijing. It showcases various architectural styles from different groups, including Han, Manchu, Mongol, and Tibet. Open to tourists since 1981, the temple attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year for prayer and sightseeing.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - A 30-minute drive will take you to the Summer Palace, known as the museum of ancient royal gardens. Your expert guide will lead you through the garden, which mainly consists of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. The Long Corridor, measuring 728 meters (796.2 yards) in length, is the longest corridor in Chinese gardens. It connects Longevity Hill with Kunming Lake, beginning at the Yaoyue (Inviting-Moon) Gate and ending at Shizhang Pavilion. You can admire the exquisite murals and enjoy melodious music while walking along the corridor.

Beijing Capital International Airport - Finally, your guide and driver will escort you to Beijing airport for your flight to Chongqing, possibly booking the MU2273 20:50–00:10 for you. The flight takes approximately 3.5 hours.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport - Upon arrival in Chongqing, you will be promptly picked up and transferred to your hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Chongqing. O/N Chongqing.

Chongqing - At around 08:30, your excellent tour guide will pick you up at your downtown Chongqing hotel for a 3-hour comfortable private vehicle drive to Wulong County.

Wulong Karst geological park - Wulong, known for its unique karst landforms, features breathtaking stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes, and gorges. Wulong gained international fame through Michael Bay’s blockbuster movie – Transformers: Age of Extinction, which showcased the majestic beauty of the Three Natural Bridges in Wulong. In addition to the famous movie site, other fascinating natural attractions in the area include Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap, and Fairy Mountain.

Wulong Tiankeng Three Bridges - After a hearty lunch at a local restaurant, your splendid Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, the main scenic attraction of this world heritage area. These three giant stone arch bridges, exquisitely sculpted by nature, are unique wonders found nowhere else in the world. Within the serene scenic area, you can appreciate the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by strolling along the narrow path at the valley’s bottom.

During the 2 - 2.5 hours visit, you will also stop by an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, constructed during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) for official business and guest reception. The wooden-structured courtyards are well-preserved, with more than 20 rooms remaining.

After some free time to explore, your Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes. You will be transferred back to your hotel, arriving around 18:30.

Chongqing - At the end, your guide will escort you to your Chongqing hotel.

Chongqing - Today, you will head to Dazu County for a full day of sightseeing (your guide will meet you at 08:30 in your hotel lobby).

The Dazu Rock Carvings - This is the birthplace of the remarkable Dazu rock carvings, created from the late Tang dynasty (618~907) to the early Song dynasty (960~1127).

With a Buddhist theme, the Dazu cliffside carvings are located in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan, and Shizhuanshan. You will spend the day visiting the Baodingshan carvings, situated about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly consists of the Dafowan rock carvings area and the Xiaofowan rock carvings area.

Baoding Mountain Carved Stone - Next, you will visit the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings. Green buses will take you directly to Baodingshan. The mountain cliffs are densely adorned with Buddhist and Taoist statues, as well as celebrity figures from the late Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Approximately 10,000 Buddha statues are carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shaped Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with extensive commentary and no repeated content. You can explore at your own pace to closely examine the precious grotto art. After the tour, a sumptuous lunch will be served at a fine restaurant, allowing you to savor authentic Chongqing cuisine.

Chongqing Chaotianmen - After lunch, you will drive to Chongqing Chaotianmen cruise port. Board the ship between 18:30 and 21:00, and it will depart Chongqing at 21:30.

Sailing & Shore Excursion at Three Gorges Dam. The tour ends in Yichang.

Yichang - Your local driver and guide will meet you at the Three Gorges tourist center and show you around Yichang Riverside Park and Wanda Plaza. After lunch, they can drop you off at Yichang airport/train station or Yichang hotel. This marks the end of your 7-day tour services.
