- Temple of Heaven - Following lunch, explore the classic and historic Hutong alleys by taking a rickshaw ride. In Beijing, hutongs are alleys created by rows of siheyuan, which are traditional courtyard residences. Many neighborhoods were developed by connecting one siheyuan to another to form a hutong, and then linking one hutong to another. The term hutong also refers to these neighborhoods.
Conclude the visit at the Temple of Heaven, an imperial complex of religious buildings located in the southeastern part of central Beijing.

Experience the wonderful city of Beijing with the best tour guide- May! - May was amazing! I couldn’t recommend her enough. She took my wife and I to all the must see sights in Beijing. Beijing tour - Absolutely outstanding.
The full-day tour around the city with Catharine Lu Tours and our guide, Mr. Adam, was exceptional. He is an extremely kind, attentive, and professional guide. I can confidently say this was one of the best tours of my life.
Mr. Adam has an incredible knowledge of history and culture, and the experience felt like a true historical masterclass through Beijing. Everything was perfectly organized, informative, and engaging from start to finish.
I highly recommend Catharine Lu Tours for both families and solo travelers who want a deeper and more meaningful understanding of Beijing.

Fantastic sights and great guide and company - I did a tailor made two-day trip encompassing the square, forbidden city, summer palace, temple of heaven and the pearl market. We used public transport to make this affordable as I was travelling alone which worked well. Lunches were fabulous- good quality local restaurants and food chosen was tasty. This was a hot and busy time of year. The sights were great- the crowds less so. James was a great guide- plenty of information but not too much and brilliant at answering questions. My slight criticism is that it would have been better for the square/forbidden city and summer palace to have started the day earlier (and finished earlier). Catherine Lu Tours is a great and professional company and I wholeheartedly recommend them- I booked with them directly so I could include all the things I wanted to see, high meant I got to have the same guide in Beijing for 3 days.

Tour em Beijing - Excellent tour in Beijing made by Catherine Tour Tour! It was 3 excellent days accompanied by the guide Iris who was wonderful, many professional and experienced! It was very professional and enlightening at all times! Besides all the main sights of Beijing we had food experiences too! Great I highly recommend!!

Unforgettable Tour with the Amazing Guide Susi - We absolutely loved this tour! Susi was amazing—knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly kind. She shared so much interesting information throughout the day and made the experience unforgettable. We had the best time exploring the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, and many other beautiful sites. The car was very comfortable, and the driver was courteous and friendly, which made the whole journey even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful day around Beijing - My fabulous guide Mei, met me at my hotel and from there on it was an excellent experience with detailed knowledge of all the sites. The traditional tea ceremony was really good with tastings of five different teas then moved on for a wonderful “local” lunch. The finale of the trip was the magnificent Forbidden City

Great full day tour in Beijing with our tour guide Lisa - We highly recommend this tour when visiting Beijing. It included visits to Tiananmen, Forbidden City, and a visit to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Our tour guide Lisa from Catherine Lu Tours was very friendly and knowledgeable, fluent in English and switched back and forth between Mandarin easily. If you want to see the main highlights in and around Beijing book this tour.

Perfect Beijing Hightlights Tour - We picked Catherine Lu tours because they were able to provide an itinerary that met our needs. We were a group of 3 traveling from NYC and wanted to start our trip in Beijing with a highlights tour to get a feel for the city. Our tour guide Maggie was wonderful, and not only was very knowledgeable of the sites themselves, but also gave us a lot of general trips to make the most of Beijing. We ended up spending another day with Maggie was well (to see the Great Wall and Summer Palace) and we are very grateful that she was our guide!wed highly recommend both Catherine Lu Tours and Maggie.
