Private Tour during long layover - Forbidden city and Lama temple with a lovely lunch of local dishes - We were picked up on time at our transit hotel by James our tour guide for the day. He was accompanied by an expert driver who navigated Beijing’s heavy traffic with ease. As it was the 31st Jan 25, traffic was heavy and it took us over 90 mins to get to the Forbidden city which wasn’t a hassle as James explained many sites along the way. He was very informative and friendly. It was amazing to see so many young men and women dressed in traditional clothing for a photo posing in the Forbidden city as Emperors and princesses. Their costumes were so intricate. After the Forbidden City we had a lovely lunch with traditional Chinese dishes and then went to the Lama temple, which is well worth the visit. So many Buddha’s that were magnificent. James even allowed us to make a quick detour on our way back to the hotel to a shop that my husband wanted to visit. We will have very fond memories of this special day.

Complete and enjoyable layover tour - We really enjoyed our layover. We planned it a couple weeks before we went and since day one, Catherine and May helped us out organizing our Latimer. We had a couple of mishaps because of our first flight was delayed but both May and Eugene were amazing with us and managed to fit everything that we planned in. We enjoyed her explanations and the company. We managed to go around Tianamen Square, see a tea ritual, enjoy a lovely walk and dinner and arrived in time to our flight home. Would 100% recommend.

Airport transfert short city tour - Very good organisation for this « long transfer time in Beijing » city tour. Our guide was waiting for us at the exit and it took 5 min to get in a van and start the tour. After 50min drive we were near Tian a men square and shopping district. We could taste nice street foods and see the national center for performing arts and the bell and drum towers at night. Then we got back smoothly to the airport. Our guide Justin was fluent in English and explained a lot on the city and his personal experiences living in Beijing. A short glimpse definitely worth it into China’ capital.
