- Mutianyu Great Wall - Upon arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport or your hotel, the driver and tour guide will be waiting with a sign displaying your name. They will assist with your luggage as you enter the climate-controlled vehicle. The drive to the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Great Wall, takes approximately an hour.
The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling and is celebrated for its stunning scenery, featuring forested hills and refreshing mountain air. Spend a few hours hiking the fully restored wall with your guide. Opting for a cable car ride up and a toboggan ride down can add excitement to your visit.
- Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - Relish an authentic Chinese lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading into the city. The drive takes about an hour and 40 minutes, depending on traffic.
The first stop is Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Your guide will point out the Great Hall of the People, akin to the Capitol, the vast National Museum of China, and the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, where the leader’s remains are preserved.

- Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - From here, it’s a 15-minute walk to the UNESCO-listed Forbidden City, the imperial palace of Beijing with nearly 600 years of history. Between 1420 and 1912, 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties ruled from here. Spend a couple of hours exploring with your guide, from entrance halls to private quarters, gardens, and museums.
At the tour’s conclusion, the driver and guide will ensure you return to the airport in time for your next flight.
Please note: The Forbidden City is closed on Mondays. On these days, the tour will visit the UNESCO-listed Summer Palace and Great Wall instead. The Summer Palace served as the emperors’ lakeside retreat.
