- Mutianyu Great Wall - The tour guide and driver will take visitors directly to the Mutianyu Great Wall, located approximately 80 kilometers from central Beijing, taking around 1.5 hours to reach. Along the way, travelers will pass through many traditional villages, offering a glimpse into Chinese suburban culture. The Mutianyu section is renowned as the most classic and beautiful part of the Great Wall from the Ming Dynasty, featuring abundant vegetation and fewer crowds. It is a favorite among international visitors. A cable car takes guests to the mountain’s summit, where the hike to explore the Great Wall begins. Visitors can admire the 600-year-old ancient Wall and appreciate its restored beauty. The experience highlights the contrast between ancient grassland culture and Han culture. The ancient defense structures symbolize the ingenuity and wisdom of the Chinese people.
- Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Summer Palace, originally known as the Garden of Clear Yi, situated in Beijing’s western suburbs, 15 kilometers from the city. Spanning about 290 hectares, it is near the Old Summer Palace. This expansive landscape garden, built around Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, is inspired by Hangzhou West Lake and the garden designs of the South of the Yangtze River. It is the best-preserved royal palace and garden, often called the “Museum of Royal Gardens,” and is a major national tourist attraction. In 1750, Emperor Qianlong invested 4.48 million taels of silver to construct the Garden of Clear Yi in honor of his mother. In 1860, during the 10th year of Xianfeng, the Qingyi Garden was destroyed by British and French allied forces. It was rebuilt in 1888 and renamed the Summer Palace as a summer retreat. In 1900, the Summer Palace suffered destruction by the “Eight-Power Allied Forces,” and its treasures were looted.
- Qing Shan Ju Tea House - On the return journey to the hotel, there will be a stop at a tea house to taste tea and learn about tea culture. China is the birthplace of tea, as evidenced by the presence of large wild tea trees throughout the country, both in ancient and modern times. China is the first and largest country where wild tea trees are found. Chinese tea has made a significant contribution to global health. The ancestor of Chinese tea is Shennong, who is also considered the ancestor of world tea. Chinese tea has spread worldwide, promoting health, happiness, and physical and mental harmony, adding immense charm to the health concept and Zen tea culture.
