You will view the historic Qianmen Gate, the Monument to the People’s Heroes, and the Great Hall of the People from the outside, while your guide shares the fascinating history and stories of these landmarks.
• Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Spend 2 hours exploring this stunning example of Imperial architecture and delve into the palace’s rich history.

The Forbidden City served as the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. For nearly 500 years, it was the residence of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political hub of the Chinese government.

Tour route: The Forbidden City is divided into two sections. The southern section, known as the Outer Court, was where the emperor wielded supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court, was where he resided with his royal family. You can choose the central, East, or West Route based on your interests, or even visit the Treasure House on the East Route.

After the tour, return to your hotel using public transportation independently.

• Temple of Heaven - This option includes a tour of both the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.

After completing the Forbidden City tour, continue with our guide to take a Didi or subway from the Forbidden City to the Temple of Heaven. This site was historically used for worshiping the God of Heaven during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today, it is a vast park where locals practice Taiji and other activities. You will witness remarkable ancient architecture and learn about the emperors’ ancestral and divine worship practices.
