Great Wall without crowds - Great day at the Gubeikou (wild) and Jinshanling (restored) sections of the Great Wall. Super relaxing and peaceful experience without crowds, and avoiding the midday heat. Our guide Leo was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He is also a great photographer and knows the best photo spots ;) Highly recommended, would definitely go with Leo if I visit again.

Stunning sunset tour - Adele was super friendly and knowledgeable on various topics about Chinese culture. We explored both unrestored and restored sections of the Wall which gives a great feeling of the history behind it. The sunset was simply mind-blowing with close to no crowd at all, which made the experience feels very private. I am so incredibly grateful to have experienced this. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic views at Jinshanling versus the natural raw feel of Goubeikou! - Thoroughly enjoyable experience! Good to be able to compare the raw state of the walls in Gubeikou versus the renovated version at Jinshanling. You’ll have a good time with Leo, the guide.

Excellent and informative tour guide and driver! - Adele is an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and flexible about meeting the multi-generational mobility needs of our family. We also learned a lot about the history of the Great Wall, Temple of Heaven and Forbidden City. The Great Walk trip was also far from the madding crowd, so we watched the sunset against the Great Wall all by ourselves!

Spectacular Great Wall - Our guide Adele was very good and speaks excellent English.
She was very informative about Chines history and the construction of the Great Wall.
We went to the unrestored 'wild' Wall at Gubekou which was very interesting. We hiked up and along one section of the wild Wall and then back down. took about an hour.
Then we very nice lunch at a local restaurant.
After that we went to Jinshanling and hiked up and along the restored Wall which is very spectacular. There were hardly any people there and we stayed at the high point until sunset, which was magnificent and an experience not to be missed (about two hours at Jinshanling)
Adele was a great guide for us and we would recommend her to any other travellers in the Beijiing area.

Thank you Leo, we have the Most Amazing Beijing Trip! - We have such a wonderful trip in Beijing. Our guide for the trip, Mr Leo, is simply Fantastic! He is so knowledgeable! We learnt so much from him and able to engage in meaningful conversation throughout the trip.
He brought us to Gubeikou Great Wall and tracked with us through the most amazing hike. It was such a memorable experience.
He also hiked with us through the sunset in Jinshanling Great Wall. The timing was perfect ! He was the most perfect photographer for our trip. The pictures taken were fantastic!
Leo drove us to Cuandixia Ancient Village and we were able to experience the nuances of the local life here.
We love the history & stories shared by Leo during our visit to The Forbidden City & Tiananmen. It's just amazing!
Thanks Leo for driving us to the Tanzhe Temple. We were able to view the most beautiful autumn hues in the Ginkgo trees.
Lastly, thank you for bringing to savour the most delicious Peking Duck, the most scrumptious hotpot and the most memorable local delicacy throughout the short trip.
We love Beijing ! Thank you and blessed wishes to you and your beloved family!

Best tour ever, and highlight of our trip! - My wife and I spent 3 weeks in China, and our time with Leo was the highlight of our trip! This was the best tour we ever had, anywhere in the world!
The communication with him before the trip was excellent. The information on his website and videos on YouTube are great. The ride in his minivan was very comfortable. Talking with him made the long ride feel so short. His English is excellent, and his insights are so informative.
We went on the private sunset tour to Gubeikou and Jinshanling Great Walls at the end of October, and both places were incredibly peaceful with no tourists-- we saw only 4 other people there. In between, we had a great lunch in a local restaurant. The hikes at sunset were incredible! Leo took many amazing professional quality photos of us—the best photos of our trip!
We wish we had done other tours, to the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, with Leo. Next time we go to Beijing, we will do the overnight tour to the Great Wall with Leo. We made such a great connection with Leo that we invited him to stay with us in the US, and we hope he can do it.
Our advice is to spend as much time as you can with Leo, and it will be the highlight of your trip to China.

Highlight of our Beijing visit - This was the highlight of our Beijing vacation and exceeded our expectations. Leo picked us up with a comfortable car at 11 AM at the hotel, so we had a relaxed morning. The drive is long (2-2.5 hour) but so worth it. We first went to the unrestored wall. It’s a bit of hike to go up, but very rewarding. There was no one else there, except a guard and at the end an other tourist climbed up. Next we went for a late lunch in a local restaurant, and had some great dishes and local beer. Then we went to a restored part of the wall - but as we came late, people were leaving when we arrived. The wall was amazing and only a few people left. We had asked for the optional bottle of wine and enjoyed the sunset with a glass of wine. This was a great memory. Leo is also a very nice guy, speaks English very well. I would highly recommend.
