• Beijing - Today, the tour guide will meet guests at their Beijing hotel lobby at either 9:00 am or 1:00 pm, and then take an Uber or Didi to the Forbidden City.
• Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - Upon reaching Tiananmen Square, guests can enjoy a leisurely walk through this city square, where they will see many of the country’s famous landmarks such as the Monument to the People’s Heroes, Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, and the Great Hall of the People.
• Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - After exploring the square, the tour will proceed to the Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient wooden architectural complex in the world. Spanning a total of 72 hectares (178 acres), the city is rectangular, encircled by a 12-meter-high (13 yards) and 3,400-meter-long (3,700 yards) red wall, as well as a 52-meter-wide (57 yards) moat, ensuring its security against attacks.

During the next 2 hours, a professional guide will lead guests through the Forbidden City along the Central Axis. The Forbidden City is divided into two sections - the Outer Court and the Inner Court. The Outer Court is where emperors conducted state affairs, while the Inner Court was the living area for emperors and their families.

The Outer Court features three grand palaces: the Hall of Supreme Harmony for major ceremonies like weddings and coronations, the Hall of Central Harmony where emperors rested before ceremonies, and the Hall of Preserved Harmony for imperial banquets and the final imperial examination overseen by the emperor. These palaces are all aligned along the Central Axis of the city.

Entering the Gate of Heavenly Purity, guests will arrive at the Inner Court, which centers around the Palace of Heavenly Purity, Hall of Celestial and Terrestrial Union, and Palace of Earthly Tranquility. There are also six palaces on the West Wing and another six on the East Wing, forming the living quarters for the royal family. Additionally, the exquisite artworks in the Gallery of Painting and Calligraphy showcase the development of art in ancient China, leaving a lasting impression.

• Beijing - The tour concludes after exiting through the Gate of Divine Prowess. Guests may return to their hotel or visit Shichahai, which is nearby the Forbidden City. The guide will provide directions.
