- Longqing Gorge - Begin the day with a morning pickup from your hotel in Beijing and travel in a private vehicle to Longqing Gorge, situated approximately 55 miles (90 km) north of central Beijing. Surrounded by lush peaks and bordered to the north by the Gucheng Reservoir, established in 1981, the gorge presents serene yet striking views of forested mountains, intriguing rock formations, and karst caves. Enjoy a 1.5-hour cruise through the ravine, feeling the gentle breeze on your face while admiring sights such as Baihua (Hundred Flowers) Cave and the Shenxianyuan (Immortal) and Jingang temples.
- Guyaju Caves - Following the morning boat ride, savor a lunch featuring local cuisine at a farmer’s house. Proceed to the Guyaju Caves, a complex of over 170 dwellings carved into the rock face. These extraordinary caves, believed to have been created by the Xiyi ethnic minority between the Tang and Liao Dynasties, resemble ‘ant farms for humans’ and include rooms of various shapes and styles, complete with doors, windows, kitchen ranges, and closets.
After the comprehensive day tour concludes, you will be transported back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.

Longqingxia Gorge Cruise and Guyaju Cave Dwellings - Have an excellent day with Jeffrey the Tour Guide and Lee the driver on this trip. Jeff was very knowledgeable of the history. Lunch was great too.

Good Tour and Excellent support by Summer Liu - From the booking day till the end of the trip support by Lily's travel agency service was good.
Particularly I want to thank and appreciate our tour guide Summer Liu who provided excellent support during the trip and she was so friendly and supportive. The experience was wonderful. She helped us take photos even when we asked her to take multiple photos.
Good place to visit. But it's suggested to visit during summer because all the trees, plants are almost lost leaves.Â

Great experience with Summer - I was on this trip, and I couldn’t agree more with how amazing it was! Summer was truly fantastic — so friendly, accommodating, and full of positive energy. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. Our driver (wish I caught his name!) was equally impressive — he handled the long 6-hour round trip with such professionalism and care.
The gorge was breathtaking, and the caves were just as stunning. We even stopped at a charming local restaurant for some delicious food and cold beers — the service there was top-notch. One of my favorite parts was visiting a local apple farm where we got to taste and buy some of the freshest, most beautiful apples I’ve ever had.
Overall, it was a perfect day filled with great company, amazing scenery, and wonderful people. Huge thanks to Summer and our driver — they deserve a raise! I’d happily join any future adventure with them again. Highly recommend this excursion to everyone!

Unforgettable tour - We had an unforgettable experience—all thanks to our incredible guide, Summer! She went above and beyond to keep us perfectly on track, even with the long commute from our hotel, ensuring not a single minute of our itinerary was wasted. What truly stood out was her thoughtfulness: she sought out a charming lunch spot which catered all of our tastes.It was a one-of-a-kind adventure made even more special by her insights and care. We couldn’t have asked for a better companion on this journey!

Very Fun and Worth Seeing - First and foremost, the very nice lady Summer was fantastic. She was very accommodating and pleasant and made out adventure more wonderful than I thought it could be. Also our excellent driver, wish I knew his name, was amazing driving us about 6 hours round trip. He was very accommodating as well. The gorge was beautiful but the caves were equally amazing. We stopped at a local rural resturant for food and beers where the service was fantastic. I give this excursion 5 stars and recommend it to everyone. We also popped by a local Apple farm and sampled and bought beautiful apples. Lastly, Summer and our driver should get a raise in pay, I would hire them any time for my future adventures! Love them and thanks for making it a very special time for me and my friends. Greg90265

great tour - This was such an amazing tour with Summer. Everything was fantastic—especially the cave Dwellings site.We can overlook the reservoir diwn the hill from the view point.

Amazing Day, Amazing Guide! - We had a full day booked and had an amazing time! Our guide, Summer, was incredible — she kept us perfectly on schedule despite our hotel being quite far away. She also took us to a wonderful lunch spot that easily accommodated a vegetarian diet. Getting to go inside the cave dwellings was such a special experience. Today created memories we’ll cherish for a long time!

Well worth the tour! - We had an amazing experience!! Wang our driver and Jeffrey our tour guide were fantastic! The waterway and mountain views were breathtaking and the cave dwellings were unbelievable. Well worth booking a tour highly reccomend !

It's not in very good condition - Jenny was a great guide although I had trouble understanding her occasionally, we got along well. The scenery in the gorge is pretty but just be prepared that the whole place is run down, old, and not being properly maintained. The cave dwellings were amazing, though; I really enjoyed that part a lot.
