Small Goose Pagoda - Next, you will transfer to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, located inside Jianfu Temple, about one kilometer south of Xi’an city proper. It is one of the two famous and important Buddhist pagodas erected during the Tang Dynasty about 1300 years ago. Small Wild Goose Pagoda and its larger neighbor, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, are two significant Buddhist sites dating back to the Tang Dynasty, 1300 years ago.
The two pagodas symbolized Chang’an (Constant Peace) city. Xi’an (West Peace) was called Chang’an until the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), when Beijing became China’s capital. Chang’an served as the capital for ten dynasties.
Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - After lunch, you will transfer to the city wall. You can walk or cycle around the wall, with bike rental fees paid locally if you choose to cycle. Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - Instead of entering the temple to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, you will have a photo stop here for half an hour. Based on suggestions from previous guests, it is sufficient to see the pagoda and the statue of Monk Xuanzang at the south square outside the temple. As a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda, built during the Tang Dynasty, was once the site for Xuanzang to translate Buddhist sutras.
Today, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Area has become the most popular area for both tourists and locals in Xi’an. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the charming night scenes and relax. Around the pagoda, there is a south square leading to the Great Tang All Day Mall, where you can appreciate many unique sculptures of Tang Dynasty styles and enjoy classical music performances in public. Chengdu - Leshan Buddha - Mount Emei. O/N Emei
Chengdu - After breakfast at your hotel, your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 9:00 am and transfer you to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive, 150 km away.
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Experience the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism’s holiest sites, on this amazing full-day tour from Chengdu. Dating from the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath its gaze. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from various vantage points. The views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.
Upon arrival in Leshan, you can have lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Giant Buddha. You’ll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.
We then visit Lingyun Temple and Museum to gain deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the Giant Buddha’s carving.
Baoguo Temple - Next, visit Bao Guo Temple, the largest temple at Emei Mountain, serving as the mountain’s gateway and the center of Buddhist activity. The temple faces Phoenix Lake and backs onto Phoenix Plains, welcoming the sunrise each morning and being the last place to see the sunset at dusk.
The temple was constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple during the Ming Dynasty and was originally named Hui Zong Hall, intending to gather Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. In the early Qing Dynasty, Hui Zong Hall was moved to its current location and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to “Bao Guo,” meaning “serve the nation.”
Emeishan - After the Baoguo Temple tour, your guide will escort you to your hotel at the foot of Emei Mountain or Emei city center.
Emei Mountain - Chengdu. O/N Chengdu.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) - In the morning, your tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby at 8:00 am and head to the Emei Mountain ticket office. Today is a full day of visiting Emeishan. First, take a sightseeing bus to the upper station, a 2-hour drive. Due to the mountain’s zigzag road, try to sit in the front part of the bus and drink less water in the morning.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) is renowned as a World Heritage Site for both culture and nature and is one of China’s Four Great Buddhist Mountains. It is home to 5,000 plant species (more than the total in Europe) and over 2,300 wild animal species. It is an ideal place for hiking, Buddhist culture exploration, photography, winter holidays, summer retreats, and is suitable for visiting year-round.
E’meishan Jinding Scenic Resort - After the cable car ride, a short walk will lead you to the Golden Summit, where you can spend 40-60 minutes. The experience on the Golden Summit is fabulous, with a sparkling golden Buddha statue, grandiose temples, endless stretching cloud sea, fresh air, and more.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) - Next, take the cable car and shuttle bus back to the mountain’s base (the same way you ascended). If you wish to see more, you can stop at Wannian Temple and hike for a while, discussing options with your guide.

The area, inscribed on the World Heritage Sites list in 1992 by UNESCO, is called a “World Wonder” and “Fairy Land on Earth.”
Huanglong Valley - Today, you will visit the Huanglong Valley section, and going up by cable car and down by foot is the best way due to the high altitude (3400M). When you reach the upper station by cable car, walk along the parallel path for 40 minutes to reach an active platform. Spanning more than 1 km, the parallel path has no steps and won’t tire you out. Keep climbing for 1 km to reach the most famous spot, the multicolored pond. The highest point of the multicolored pond reaches 3900 meters, the highest point tourists can reach in the scenic spot. As the land surface elevation changes, these calcified ponds are distributed by terraces.
Chuanzhusi Town - Afterwards, take a private car to Chuanzhusi town, a 60-minute drive, 40 km away. Upon arrival in Chuanzhusi, the tour guide will assist with check-in. You can either take a leisurely walk around or rest at the hotel.
Chuanzhusi (Songpan) - Chengdu (320KM, 6 hours driving). O/N Chengdu.
Chuanzhusi Town - At 8:30 am, your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you back to Chengdu. On the way back, you will make stops at the Munigou Scenic Area. After a short sightseeing stop here, head back to Chengdu. Today, you can end the tour at Chengdu city center or Chengdu airport/train station.

Inside Munigou Valley, the landscape is mainly composed of primitive forests, alpine lakes, hot springs, giant calcified waterfalls, ring waterfalls, calcification pots, and more. The landscape in the region mainly consists of two parts: Zhaga Waterfall and the two major seas. Mountains, water, and forest are skillfully integrated here. The main attractions are Zhaga Waterfall, Muni Forest, Acres of Azalea, Jade Thermal Spring, Baihua Lake, Moon Lake, Swan Lake, cavern groups, and more.

Chengdu - Lijiang by flight. O/N Lijiang.

Lijiang - Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 9:00 am and transfer you to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a 50-minute drive, 25 km away.
Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain - Today, you may visit the Snow Mountain with the cable car to Spruce Meadow first or visit White Water River first, depending on the Impression Lijiang Show, as the show time varies based on daily visitor numbers from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, lasting 60 minutes. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is easily accessible via a system of cable cars that take visitors to different parts of the mountain. The 13 peaks, home to several glaciers, are covered in snow year-round. Different altitudes give rise to changing landscapes, with peaceful meadows giving way to snow-covered paths and glaciers. We choose Spruce Meadow with the cable car due to its lower altitude (3300M) and fewer visitors than the Glacier Park route, offering a nice view.
Lijiang Impressions Show - Next, attend the Lijiang Impression show. The outdoor performance, featuring traditional songs and dances by local ethnic people selected from villages around Lijiang, is held at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, just outside the main building, at predetermined times.
Blue Moon Valley - Afterwards, take a private car to White Water River (Blue Moon Valley). The Blue Moon Valley is an extremely blue river meandering through a lush valley of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Seen from a distance, it resembles a blue crescent moon inlaid at the foot of the mountain, hence its beautiful name. However, blue is not the only color of the river. If it rains, the white mud and limestone rubble at the riverbed will be stirred up, making the water as white as milk. Therefore, local Naxi people call it White Water River (Baishui River).
Lijiang Mural in Baisha Village - After lunch outside the Yulong Snow Mountain Park, you will head to Baisha Village. In this village, you can visit the Dongba pictograms, the mural paintings in Dabaoji Palace, and the ‘ten thousand camellia blossoms’ tree, among other attractions. Baisha literally means ‘white sands.’ The town was the first settlement of the Naxi people after they migrated south from the Tibetan plateau. It was once the political, commercial, and cultural center of the powerful, yet mysterious, Naxi Kingdom. The region became part of the Yuan Empire in the late thirteenth century. The Mu family, which administered Lijiang from the late fourteenth to the early eighteenth century, had its birthplace in Baisha. The area also played a significant role in the strategic commercial network known as the Tea Horse Road.
Lijiang. O/N Lijiang.
Lijiang - Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 9:00 am and transfer you to Tiger Leaping Gorge, a 120-minute drive, 80 km away.
Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia) - After your guide purchases the entrance ticket, your driver will take you to the gorge. You will set out for your hiking tour to the upper part of the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Take a 15-20 minute walk along the plank road to the viewing platform on the valley floor. Strong currents of the Jinsha River roar through the narrow valley, with waves slapping against the rocks. Have your camera ready to capture this spectacular view. At the narrowest point, you will see a giant rock 13 meters (43 feet) high seated in the middle of the river, abruptly splitting the torrents into two branches. Meanwhile, the surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform was built there for visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take pictures. You will have 1.5-2 hours to take in the great scenery of the gorge. After that, reverse the trip back to the parking lot with your guide.
Black Dragon Pond Park - After lunch, take a private car back to the city center and visit Black Dragon Pond Park. At this park, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This park is a landmark of Lijiang. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China because of its exquisite beauty. Its surroundings are lush with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. In its waters, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected. At the far side of the pool, there are renovated buildings used for art exhibitions, such as the Moon-Embracing Pavilion with its own white marble bridge across the water, and the Five-Phoenix Temple built during the Ming Dynasty.
Shuhe Ancient Town - Next, visit Shuhe Old Town, where you can take a leisurely walk in Shuhe Ancient Town. Shuhe, or ‘Shaowu’ in the Naxi language, means the village at the foot of the high mountain. In the past, a high mountain named Jubao stood behind the village, hence the name. Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4 km northwest of Lijiang Ancient Town. Its central part covers about 5 square kilometers with a population of around 3,000. In 1997, Shuhe was ranked as an important part of Lijiang Ancient Town, which was already a World Cultural Heritage site named by UNESCO.

The vivid interpretation by our guide, along with the lighting, adds mystery to the scene. The cave tour lasts about 40 minutes.
Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After a two-hour drive, you will reach the entrance for the Longji Terraces, where you will purchase entrance tickets for the rice terraces in Ping’an Village. This village has the most famous and beautiful rice terraces in Longji and requires about a 30-minute drive. The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a splendid agricultural spectacle with a history of over 650 years. The most eye-catching part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the earliest one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields dug along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. There are viewing platforms for visitors to view the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. While there, you can also experience the minority Zhuang people’s traditional way of life. It is quite interesting to help them in the fields, try on their bright-colored ethnical costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.
Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, you will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village. The walk up takes about 40 minutes. Your guide will take you on a stroll around the village, where you can glimpse the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses, and you can have lunch in the village.
After a short lunch break, continue your terrace exploration to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, which is a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces beneath your feet. You will have enough time to take pictures and enjoy the fresh air at the platform. Then, head to No.1 Viewing Platform (Nine Dragons and Five Tigers), a 30-minute walk via a flat path.
Guilin - Afterwards, take a private car to your Guilin hotel around 6:00 pm, and enjoy free time.

Please inform our guide in advance if you need a walking stick. Lying between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and the Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the greatest viewing platforms in Guilin to take in the glamour of the Li River. The supreme view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.
