Mutianyu Great Wall - It takes about 1.5 hour drive to the Great Wall at Mutianyu from Beijing downtown . Upon arrival , it will spend around half an hour to reach on great wall , the half an hour spending for buying tickets, going to toilet, walking to cable car station or chairlift station. So doing this part Great wall in 8 hours is a relaxed day trip, especially for family holiday . It will be enjoyable and non-rushed trip. This is a one of the most famous and ideal sections of the Great Wall.
Lunch , Many options after great wall walking. You may choose have rest at Subway restaurant, enjoy the table under the sunshine. You may choose dumpling restaurant nearby great wall car parking place . You may choose local restaurant one the way back to Beijing. Your driver will give you best advice based on your requests. Great tour with Sue - The tour was amazing. Picked up at our hotel and the tour guide Sue shared the history on the way to the Great Wall. Able to explore at your own pace and Sue was there to offer advice and guidance. Sue recommend a great local restaurant for lunch.

We had the best time with Mr. Ping! - Mr. Ping from Leo’s private tour was the best choice! He went above and beyond to help us and make our trip truly VIP and easy. He was not only helpful but very knowledgeable and helped us a ton during our visit. Cannot recommend enough.

Reliable, friendly and knowledgeable driver - We had Mr.Ping from Leo’s private tour as our private driver to Mutianyu Great Wall and was extremely satisfied with his service. He proactively contacted us the day prior and arrived on time for pick up the next day. He then helped arrange our itinerary at the Great Wall based on what we wanted to see and do, bought us all the required tickets and really just saved us a lot of valuable time overall. He speaks English well and is very friendly and knowledgeable about the Wall’s history. We really enjoyed chatting with him throughout and would certainly recommend him for anyone looking for a private driver to Mutianyu Great Wall.

Unforgettable experience! - Mr.Ping from Leo’s private tour took care of us very well. Speaks English fluently. Taught us a lot of the history of the Great Wall. A great photographer too! He is fantastic! Highly recommended.
Had a wonderful experience at Mutianyu Great Wall. We went on a weekday so there wasn’t much crowd but I was told that in general Mutianyu is less crowded than Badaling. We started our journey up on the chairlift, then did a steep 500 steps to tower 1 and went on a fun toboggan ride down to where we took the chairlift from. Went back up for a second ride down! Ended the tour there with a delightful tea ceremony hosted by Sophie.
