The Simatai Great Wall is situated north of Simatai Village in Gubeikou Town, within the Miyun District of Beijing, near Gubei Water Town. This section of the Great Wall is constructed along steep mountains and is renowned for its unique, special, and challenging terrain. The Simatai Reservoir divides the Great Wall into two parts, featuring 16 beautiful towers in the eastern section and 18 heroic towers in the western section. The esteemed Chinese architect Luo Zhewen once remarked, “The Great Wall of China is unparalleled in the world, and the Simatai Great Wall is unparalleled in China.”
