Mutianyu Great Wall - Begin your adventure with a convenient hotel pickup from a centrally located hotel lobby within Beijing’s 2nd ring road around 7:00 am. Enjoy a scenic 90-minute drive to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Embark on a 3.7-mile (6-km) round-trip hike along the wall, which takes approximately three hours, allowing ample time to soak in the stunning views of the wall stretching across the lush, tree-covered landscape. Marvel at the dense forests and pastures, and pass by the watchtowers where guards once stood to protect the Chinese capital and imperial tombs. After your morning hike, enjoy a provided lunch before returning to Beijing, concluding your tour with a drop-off at your hotel in the city center.
Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tomb Group Tour
Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling) - Start your day with a hotel pickup from a centrally located hotel lobby within Beijing’s 2nd ring road around 7:00 am. Your journey begins with a drive towards the Great Wall of China, with a stop at the Ming Tombs. These 13 tombs house the remains of Ming dynasty emperors, dating back to the 15th century. Next, visit a jade gallery for 45 minutes to explore jade carving, a significant Chinese tradition. Enjoy a Chinese lunch at a restaurant within the gallery before continuing your tour to the Great Wall at Badaling.
The Great Wall at Badaling - Spend 1.5 hours hiking along this popular section of the wall. On your return to Beijing, stop at a tea house for a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Conclude your tour with a drop-off at your hotel in the city.
Jinshanling Great Wall Group Tour
Jinshanling Great Wall - Begin with a pickup from your centrally located hotel within Beijing’s 2nd ring road around 7:00 am. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan for a 2- to 2.5-hour journey north to Jinshanling.
During the drive, learn about this part of China’s UNESCO-listed wall, known for its beauty and tranquility. Its restored watchtowers and dramatic mountain views make it a favorite among hikers and photographers. Upon arrival, take a cable car (additional cost) to the ramparts and enjoy a 3-hour hike along the eastern battlements. Discover historical inscriptions on the unique towers and see the brick engravings crafted by ancient laborers. After your 3.7-mile (6-kilometer) hike, descend and enjoy a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. Then, return to Dongzhimen subway station in the downtown area, where you will need to make your way back to your hotel via subway.
