Amazing history lesson - This tour was great. Brendan took us around and explained the history of the area and conflict. He was very personable and had many personal stories. It really puts things into perspective. I highly recommend this tour and Brendan.

A trip that was 100% worth the time and money - Ricky was just amazing. He was responsive to questions and gave thoughtful answers. He drove us through the whole area of conflict and has clearly put a great deal of thought and work into the presentation. I so appreciated his time an attention. He was also pretty flexible as to the pick up spot when it changed! He had a minivan and it was really comfortable.

INFORMATIVE AND GREAT CRAIC - Firstly we would like to.say a big thank you.to our host and guide Ricky. He made the whole thing real. He set the scene well going back in time to when the French, Norman's really, (but you know how the Brits love to blame the French), invaded Ireland back in the 11th century. He took us on a journey through time explaining HenryV111 involvement and the pogroms of Oliver Cromwell through William of Orange and up to partition in in the 1920's all information we did not know. All we really knew about was what we heard nightly on the news in the late 1960's and through up until 1994. The IRA blew things up shot loyalists and soldiers and the Loyalists blew things up and shot members of the IRA, with both sides killing innocent civilians so much tragedy and pain and suffering. RICKY brought all this to life and put it in perspective with his life experiences of being arrested by the army as a 12 year old for throwing stones something he had not done on the day of his arrest but said he had done the day before, to being hit by rubber bullets and interred as a political prisoner in an H block after being on remand in Crumlin road Gaol. He made it all real. The murals, peace wall, and memorial gardens were all very poignant and sad and brought back a lot of memories. We both hope the peace continues and that the communities can learn to live with the past and look forward to a great future.

Best thing we did on our trip - The tour was exactly what we had in mind. Our guide was knowledgable and shared his personal experiences living in the area during The Troubles. He answered all our questions and remained unbiased while still acknowledging atrocities from all angles. He went above and beyond!

We want our money back!!!! - So this is the excursion we set up and paid Viator for and it NEVER HAPPENED 🤬🤬 We were very disappointed when we got off the ship at the port in Belfast and could not locate the “Black Taxi” nor the driver for our much anticipated tour. We even asked port staff for help to call the phone number on our reservation but they could not reach anyone. We waited extra time searching for our taxi and driver but they did not show up nor did they call us. We lost out on our money we paid VIATOR for the excursion. Later that day VIATOR sent a message that “they apologized but the ship yard did not allow the taxi or driver access into the port.” The message said we would be getting a full refund to our CC but as of today we have not received the refund. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!!!!
