Fabulous day out - Fabulous trip, very well planned. Karl the driver gave loads of useful information so you knew exactly what to expect. Well done Karl! We visited several locations which weren't in the itinerary with just the right amount of time at each - never a rush but not waiting around to set off either. We didn't visit the advertised cave as it is closed but saw where Arya climbed out of the water and other locations as well as the Dark Hedges aka The Kings Road. The lunch was very organized with Karl taking orders at one of the early stops and ringing the order through so there was a minimal wait when we arrived. I agree with other reviews that the Steak and Guinness pie is lovely! The Giants Causeway was amazing to see - it has to be seen to be believed that these hexagonal columns were formed naturally! Well worth the visit but wrap up warm - it is very blustery down there and on the walk to and from. There is a bus running continuously for £1 or €1 per person each way which we didn't use but would have done had it been raining. The pick up point is easy to find and they drop you back off at City Hall which was better for us anyway and avoided getting stuck in the traffic In short, everything on this trip ran like clockwork, it was well thought out and they've obviously tweaked it over time so everything is perfect Well done McCombs and Karl. I would highly recommend this company.

Giant Causeway Tour - A great day organised by McCombs Travel. Ray, our driver and tour guide was fantastic. He picked us up at our hotel and while driving to the next collection point explained the day to us. He gave running commentary throughout the day and was so knowledgeable about the places we visited. Drop off point was at the Blue Fish sculpture which gave us the opportunity to explore the city before returning to our hotel. Thanks Ray for such a fun day out.

Worth it!! - Paul the coach driver did absolutely fantastic. He was so knowledgeable about all the locations and always gave us extra time to stop take photos. Not only did everyone love him, but his jokes were too funny!

Really, really interesting if you are a G of T fan!! - There was so much to see much more than I expected and all done beautifully!! They cover EVERY aspect of the making of the series! The staff are all friendly and helpful and the cafe in the middle of the exhibition sold tasty food with fun names like "Frey chicken pie" which came with a chicken leg sticking out of it! Everywhere was immaculately clean the only thing you have to be careful of is picking up and returning on the tour bus as the driver left on the very dot of the given time, theres no waiting for anyone even for a minute! We forgot about the photos they took of us at the start of the tour and didnt have enough time to look at them or buy them before we left so be aware of that too! We had 3 hours there which was long enough even for a very keen fan like me!!

NOT a Game of Thrones Tour! - My husband and I left this tour feeling super mislead and disappointed and truthfully ripped off. It’s titled GOT tour and the itinerary reads GOT orientated, but it is really just a tour of Northern Ireland sites with brief GOT information sprinkled in. The two stars are for Wilson, who was an awesome guide and provided a warm, humorous and welcoming experience. We still enjoyed the tour for the history of Ireland it provided but the fact is, the company is falsely advertising an experience it doesn’t follow through with. First, the Cushenden Caves is “closed”, which we found out in the middle of the tour, only after asking since we noticed it got skipped on the itinerary. But when we Googled the caves, it stated they were open to the public. Disappointing that the company couldn’t disclose or update their itinerary for this. Secondly, Dunluce Castle is listed on the itinerary, but we didn’t get to actually see the castle, and I’m not sure why? We simply parked far up the road with our hazards on and snapped photos of it from a distance before quickly moving on. Thirdly, there was hardly any facts or background of GOT mentioned at all throughout the tour, which eventually had my husband and I questioning if we booked the wrong one. When we brought it up to our tour guide, he concisely stated “that he forgot about the GOT aspect” of the some of the locations we visited. The real kicker, our GOT tour guide HADN’T EVEN SEEN THE SERIES. Simply put, you’re better off skipping the “tour” and driving yourself to each filming location in Northern Ireland, where you can enjoy each site without a rushed time restraint or unnecessary stops. And before the company responds to this review with a classic, “everything is as listed” retort, we are reasonable people. So please just change this title and update your description, it would save us GOT enthusiasts a lot of time and money and would prevent awkward confrontations with your innocent tour guides who are just trying to do their jobs.

NOT A GOT TOUR - First, Patrick was great! Very professional and wanted everyone to have a good time. That being said, PLEASE don’t promote something as a Game of Thrones tour when it is a very small part of the day!! I had to skip lunch because we we had stopped for lunch and just ignoring the big GOT filming locations surrounding us. I had to do my own research to find locations. Also, advertising stops that we never did. Was told (only when I personally asked) that the caves were closed but after my own googling found out that the actual GOT filming locations were not closed and fully open for visitors. Literally at the end of the tour, the guide said “Hope you enjoyed the tour and a little touch of Game of Thrones “!! It’s a GOT TOUR!! If you are a fan and booking an actual GOT tour… stay away! Waste of time.
